| Mission CallI'm back on Xanga. Well, just for a few minutes to let y'all know that I got my mission call!! I actually received it over a week ago but I haven't been able to announce it, so here goes!!
I HAVE BEEN CALLED TO SERVE AS A MISSIONARY FOR THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS IN THE WASHINGTON D.C. NORTH MISSION, I REPORT AUGUST 16TH.
It is such an honor and a privilege to think of the trust my Heavenly Father and His church put in me. It's going to be an incredible experience I just know it!
A lot of you already know about my call, this is just for those of you who don't. Have a fabulous day!!!
Sincerestly sincere,
Elder Trebas | | |
| Sort of a goodbye.....Yes my friends, we all knew the time would come eventually. I am bidding Xanga a fond farewell, sorta. I will not be leaving Xanga forever never to return, no I think it's a good way to keep in contact with friends. However, you will all find me on here much less. Now is the time for me to focus on the things of the Gospel, the things of God.
It has been a pleasure, thank you all. I will be on here evry now and again, so if you feel like dropping me a comment feel free! Have a fantabulous forever.
Sincerestly sincere,
Elder (Almost) Trebas | | |
| WEEKEND!!!!!!!I know you're digging it. And this hot new splint on my left arm. Try to resist. Yeah, it should be pretty hard. (Note the heavy sarcasm.)
Ooh it's gonna be a good one I can feel it! What are you up to? What do you love right now? Let me know! Farewell!
By the way, I want to go lie out under a tree and reminisce. I think that would be really nice right now. Seriously.
| My injured arm.So for those of you who don't know, I hurt my arm on Monday night. Yeah, what are ya gonna do Mormon sports are dangerous! So we were playing frisbee football, yes frisbee football, for FHE and as I was running to catch the frisbee in our endzone and score Elder Watkins, yes it was a missionary who did this to me, stuck his foot out and tripped me so I wouldn't score!! Ok so he didn't really trip me on purpose I just kinda ran into him, but that doesn't mean that I can't make him think it was his fault! Anywho, I fell on my wrist and it really hurt but I just adopted the old football motto to just rub it in some dirt and keep going.
So I kept playing, I later stacked chairs, went on a motorcycle, and sang karaoke til 2:30 in the morning (All very taxing activities on my wrist.) and thought nothing of it. The next day, yesterday, it still hurt and after a little coercion from friends and family I went into the doctor Apparently what happened is that there are fibers in between my radius and ulna bones in my arm which house capillaries for the blood flow to my hand and also some nerves and when I fell I severed some of them near my wrist which caused my left hand to swell, stiffen, and for me to lose some feeling. So yeah, I was sent to the hospital to see if any bone fragments broke off but luckily none did, so I have to wear a splint for three weeks. Now if only I can find the splint I need! No one carries it! At least I can still play video games!!! Oh the little miracles of life.
By the way, Mickey rocks the party. Sir Schiltz and Janice know exactly what I'm talking about. ;)
