Monday’s Ramblings DANG!!! It’s been a month… Holy crap! I can’t believe it’s been a month all ready. Things have been hauling here. And things are shifting and changing. * * * Working again in the Fall I was roped in by my former boss to teach a few classes next year. So, yup, I am again teaching grantwriting classes start in late September. It’s cool because the money will be nice. But I’m not so stoked about working again because… * * * I’m writing like a maniac… I just finished the first 4 chapters of my MG book. There’s an epilogue, too, so it’s more like 5 chapters. It’s not polished, but heck it’s on paper. And it feels good. I figured out most of it on Saturday when my spouse was off frolicking with dad. I had a huge headache, but sat outside and pushed through the story arc. And it’s good. This is good news because… * * * I am pitching my story at the local writer’s conference in two weeks Yup. Two weeks. I’m not overly worried about how much/little I have written because I wrote an entire Masters thesis in one day. It was a hellish day, but it was done. That’s how I seem to write. I mull it around FOREVER in my head and then I barf it out on paper. So, I just started the “barfing” phase of my work. Giggle. I am going to pitch my story to two literary agents at my local conference. Both are MG and YA agents, so this ought to get me started. * * * Have a good one – whatever you do. |
