Simple Pleasures

I returned to my apartment today after my first class and sat wondering what I should eat for lunch....I really didn't want another turkey sandwich buy my supplies were running low. Then it came to me and I could almost hear a voice saying "Fried Egg Sandwich!" It was perfect!

So I proceeded to fry me egg. Once I wrestled it from the stickiest pan known to man my sandwich was complete. Usually, I am not a big mayonnaise person but the mixing of the fried egg, bread and mayonnaise makes it a necessity! A fried egg sandwich would not be nearly as worthy of its treasured sandwich snackness if it were not for the wonderful taste of mayo mingled in. After sonsuming my delectable meal, I sat back and studied my empty yogurt container and the few crusts of bread I had left on the plate and thought to myself...."That was a good lunch!"

It's the simple things in life we treasure.

I'm Twenty!!

SO my birthday was a few days ago and now I am officially no longer a teenager...I could go into a big thing about that but I don't think I will....I'm twenty! Yay! And that will be the extent of it...

The day itself was really fun though...I spent the night at my sister's and we stayed up late watching movies and all that....I got to sleep in to 11 which was so nice! My sister and I went and met my mom at Olive Garden! YUM!! It was just a ladies's luncheon I guess you could say and we stayed there for a couple hours then went to Barned and Noble where the little books I collect just happened to be on sale!!! I was so excited so I got like 6 of them! (it was 3 for the price of 2) When I got home my brother conveniently gave me enough money to cover the expense of the books!:) My mom had also given me twenty dollars inlucding a witty note about me being twenty and getting twenty dollars but she said I had to use the money for something in the way home..weird right? But then she took me to blockbuster where they are having yet another deal of like 3 or 4 for 20! Me and my mom had discussed how I needed to start building up my dvd collection and she so thoughtfully remembred and surprised with getting some! I was happy! Oh and good news....we've watched all three and they are all in good shape so dear ol' blockbuster will not have to refund my money Then we watched one of the movies when I got home and the was about it....nothing spectacular but it was perfect.

Yesterday we celebrated my dad's, my brother in law's and my birthday by going to outback and they had sundaes and candles and many waiters singing loudly! So that was fun! Then I had to go to work but we watched a movie afterwards once again and it as all fun and games! Yay for birthdays!

Independence Day!

Happy Fourth Everyone!! We just finished our family cookout! We had hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill (all american) We had corn on the cob on the grill as something new and it was sooo good! Just grill it in the husk and then just shuck the corn and dig in! It's super good! We forgot to soak it overnight and the husks turned black but it was still super yummy! We had macaroni salad potatoe salad and then we made red, white and blue rice krispy treats and then made a flag out of them with marsh mallows for the stars! It as super cute! Now I am too full and ready to take a nap:) Sadly my family might not o fireworks which to me is central but they want to be party poopers and not have any!! It's a disgrace! Maybe I'll convnce them yet!

I have to work tonite though. 5-9, and it's really not fair but I guess people have to have their subs...

why is money expensive?

I started back at Subway today and it was well....my first day back. I didn't really enjoy it but it wasn't horrible. It was just super busy and crazy for my first time working there in a year...I keep telling myself it's so i can have money...I came home and enjoyed my hard earned six inch subway sandwich which I beautifully prepared for myslef then had to change and go clean my land lady's house once again listening to the small voice saying "you need money! work=money" 

I think it's getting louder.

I can't wait to go back tomorrow
