Expanding My Career

Speech Therapy 029

I have talked about trying to market my idea for interactive Speech Folders, but haven't till now seriously considered doing it.   One of the things I would need is original art for the homework papers.  Now I use mostly papers marketed by someone already.  My post of 11/22/07 shows the whole interactive folder.

I am also very very seriously considering quiting my job as a Public School Speech Pathologist.  I hope to work for TinyEye, a telecommunications Speech/Language Therapy company.  I'll take as many clients as I can now, and in the summer, and see if it's worth going back to school in the fall, or if  I want to keep a full work load online.

www.xanga.com/DoOverAgain

I'm sorry I don't post here much anymore.  I have started a new site.  The reasons why are convoluted and basically private.  If you would like to catch me at my new place, it's DoOverAgain.

More Birthday

Doug and I went Wally Worlding yesterday.  I got so much really cool stuff for my birthday.

Birthday 019

This is by far my favorite.  They had 7 sets of different Bible characters and I wanted one of each, but limited it to just The One.  The girl figurine didn't come with the set.  She is a Christmas tree ornament Hummel.  She happened to have lost her head during the Christmas season, and was just glued back together a few days ago, waiting to be packed back in the big Christmas tin full of girls and boys her same size, when I happened to be looking around for a doll to be Mary Magdelene.  I gave her a lace shawl.

Birthday 018

This one didn't come from Wally World.  It came in the mail from LuLu.  Maybe it ties with Jesus for my favorite.  Now I just have to get it autographed.  *g*

Birthday 014

And we got this when I insisted we stop at the antique, flea market type store near our house.  I don't think those are crystals, but it's the only place I see rainbows.  *g*

Birthday 012

Doug surprised me with this Disney Fairies set the other day.  I love it.

 Birthday

Especially the little empty spiral notebook that has information about the fairies at the bottom of every page.

Birthday 013

I was sooooooo thankful to find these at Wal-Mart.  I hate the between the toe part on these shoes, but the sole is almost exactly like the flip flops that I have now.  Now I'm really going to have to get busy making shoes.  I bought 3 pairs of these.

Birthday 017

I think I may have lost my head in the shoe department or something.  Ha.  I so wish these didn't hurt my feet, but at least they both hurt much less than the average shoe.

Birthday 016

I got this book to use for school.

Birthday 015

It's a book full of those beautiful sticker pages, and also coloring pages.  The Hannah Montanah magazine is for school too.  It's just perfect for a 5th grade girl I have who has difficulty with written language.  The bottle is for school too, for me.

I will be turning 48 years old.  It's really hard to believe .  I tried to take a photo for the archives.  I didn't like any of them so I will just have to post them all, because I couldn't choose which one was less worse.

More Rocks and other stuff

I decided to take a closer look at the little jar of rocks I have.  They are supposed to be real, but it was probably all a scam.  I ordered them from a t.v. commercial.  They had really looked a LOT bigger on the t.v.

Rocks 012

I'm sure these are not real.  They used to be on a bracelet or something.  Except for the one in the middle.

Rocks 009

Rocks 008

I hate that with this camera, this is just about as close as I can get to something to take a picture before it gets blurry.

Rocks 005

I really wonder how you can tell if a stone is a real crystal or not?

Rocks 006

It's odd, when I think back to my childhood, I always had rocks on my dresser tops!  And big chunks of glass too.

Rocks 007

I should probably start using these little stones to make jewelry to sell, or gifts to give away.

Rocks 014

This is kinda a freaky shot where I look like I've sprouted wings.  Haha.

Rocks 015

This is the Barbie Princess lamp that Doug got me for my birthday.   I thought I had lost one of the  thingees hanging down.  After looking for a long time, I gave up and sewed some flowers and a heart bead in the empty spiraling spot!  The lamp shade and the outside of the pole, spin around.

Rocks 017

It finally appeared in my ring dish.  Geesh.  After looking under beds, and behind dressers, and everywhere else, it really is hard to believe it was right there in my plain site.

Maybe I didn't notice it cause my attention has been diverted farther away.  These guys are soooo ready to go swimming.

Rocks 019

Oops.  Heh.  Wardrobe malfunction in the first shot.

Rocks 018

Rocks 023

Moving to the kitchen.....   The Easter eggs are almost gone now.  I can't bear to part with the broken shells yet.

Rocks 025

And there are only two left.  I don't know if I can ever bear to eat them either.

And OH, my Gawd, I have got to show you these pictures.

Rocks 021

In a lot of spots around my home, I have put stuffed animal bumper guards on the sharp corners of furniture so I don't bruise myself on them.  These little darlings sit at the top of the stairs.

Rocks 016

I just find it hysterical, that over time, as people and animals and such have brushed by them, they  ended up like this!

Rocks 024

In the other direction...  it makes me feel tired looking at all the clutter that needs put away.

At least, looking back down the steps, I finally like the way it is looking.

Rocks 022

I hope everyone has a safe and fun Saturday.

Quartz Crystal

Oh goody, I just found what I've been wanting to know.  This was buried at the bottom of a drawer I just cleaned out.  I really want to learn to do spells and magic!
