| I was at A-Kon for the weekend with my school friends and I got back 2 hours ago. Anyway, Friday was fun even though my butler persocom costume didn't work out too well because it's an original costume, and after a while, I changed into my no face costume (from Spirited Away). Of course, more people liked my no face costume more than my other one and one group really liked it and wanted me to come back a day later so that she could record me wearing the costume. Also, I met some of the people I knew there and we had fun hanging out. I got involved in a common dance that is usually done in the convention itself, some of the lyrics from the dance are "Hey girl, do you thing, do you thing, switch," and I found it repetitive, but it was fun doing the random gestures and mirroring the others. Kotoko performed Friday night and I found her voice to be really adorable when she speaks English ^_^. Her singing is really amazing as well too outside of Onegai Teacher.
Saturday was one of those days where I thought that things could have gone better. I was enjoying my cosplaying as usual (but this time I was no face from Spirited Away) and I got so many people to take pics of me and so many hugs from so many girls. As I went downstairs, I finally met the group who wanted to record me and I got recorded which I found it to be fun. Then I didn't do much else besides going back to the suite and playing games with a bunch of my school friends (who weren't sleeping in our suite). It was really fun and then after that, we all got to see Penicillin perform (after waiting for a long time for sound test to be done while we were doing random things and until people moved back to the point where there was little pressure on the ballroom dancing floor) and they kicked butt. After that, me and my roommates got back up and we were exhausted and didn't go to bed till at least 2 or 3 am.
Today was the last day at the Kon and not much happened besides me cosplaying and buying a Bokken (a wooden sword). We all left at 2:30 and then we got back home and now I'm resting.
To sum this entry up, A-Kon this year really sucked in the stuff they had to offer and I hope next year will have more to offer and I hope to have a new costume that will get just as many pics as my no face one does and maybe even more. |
