"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas."
Ethics
When Benjamin Franklin wrote that "He that lieth with dogs shall rise up with fleas", he meant that when a man interacts with a corrupt crowd that he with end up with his own problems. If a man acquaints himself with lowlifes than his standards of living might become lower than before. His morals could be altered and it could effect his family and friends. Bad habits of the "dogs" could rub off and result in a downward spiral.
Emotional
The emotional results of interacting with immoral people could make a person feel good in the beginning, but in the end, a good man’s morals will catch up to him. The idea of doing something that seems like a good idea or something that will make you feel better ("lieth down"), will soon wear off and be replaced by guilt. Anger might also ensue with the problems that arise after interacting with a bad crowd.
Logic
It makes sense that when you participate in bad acts or interact with bad people, unfavorable obstacles will follow. People are influenced by what they see around them. It is in a persons nature to imitate those who are in their lives frequently. But when you become too accustomed to a way of life (in this case, a bad one), sometime problems will arise that you have no control over.

| hey so i'm home from NYC. sadness. Anywho. Monday we went shopping in the morning but we didn't buy anything. We had lunch at a littel restaruant called Panorama and then saw Memiors of a Giesha. The costuems and everything were great but i guess i just expected more a of a story. We then went to dinner at Bello, a really nice Italian restarant. We only had to walk a few blocks to get to the theatre to see Hairspray and it was a good thing befcasue my grandmas hip is really bothering her so it hurts her to walk. The show was great and we had great seats, second row in the mezzanine in the center. I think that sitting up higher is better then sitting in orchestra because then you can see everything. Seeing Hairspray really made me want to see RENT again.... i miss RENT.
Yesterday we went shopping and i got a lot of stuff a H&M. Then my dad and i left for home. I got home and unpacked, then went to work at 6. I worked iwht Carly and Dave, it wasn't that bad. We ordered Chinese and i had af ew steamed dumplings yum.
Todya i'm jsut hanign out. Maybe I'll go see the Producers if Cass calls me back. Maybe i'll strt my english homework....but probably not. | | |
