is it just me or does my hotel room smell funny? --it's my hotel room.

1) tour day #5. just arrived to seward today at around 4 pm -ish. I am extremely exhausted today. oh.. my goodness.
2) i need a haircut. guess my hair's gonna go back to being a little shorter. seriously, i tried growing it out. seriously--lol ... but it's growing out to where i feel like i cant do anything with it! good bye again. it's going short. ;x
3) it's july! jayda and evan turn a year older this month! O.o --it was nice when jayda was still like 3 years old... and evan was barely born. oh my, how the time flies. i gotta be honest. im pretty excited about moving back to vegas... there might be some changes; let's look fwd to that! XD
4) going back to anchorage tomorrow! i cant wait to be with my "apt family." i miss them.
5) i cant think straight right now
6) happy birthday jenny & henry dang... the only boy/girl twins that i know ;p
7) expecting company this weekend! yay!* a familiar face from the lower 48
8) got mosquito bites that swelled up my ankle and leg last week [and learned that benedryl knocks me out]
9) found out julie and jason moved to hawaii! wowsa.
10) i think im gonna build my own website soon? perhaps ill sign up for mac.com

hello friends from all over! :)

i'm sitting idle in anchorage right now waiting for some work... i've had a lot of time to think and sort through a lot of things in my head -- which I'm not sure if that's what I should be doing...it can get quite dangerous ;p. *calm down, cindy. calm down*

i came back from a 6 day training tour last wednesday and i'm sitting around waiting for work. i had a 11 hour day yesterday in Whittier, Alaska -- checked in guests into their cruise ship--wasnt too bad. if i could get a consistent job w/ at least 20 hours/week that'll be good. i'm living off my checking account right now -- i'm surviving. i'm not desperate for cash right now but it would still be nice to have some income. apparently our company over hired and so it's hard for everyone to have a tour right now--that sucks.

honestly, let me tell you something. I really have no idea what i'm doing. haha.. besides the fact that I know i'm supposed to be in Alaska for a reason. Technically, I'd like to say that I'm living off faith right now -- the only reason why I'm here is to work off my school debt. That's all the debt i have -- school debt. I've always been a "keep going" type of person. Idleness bores me but maybe that's why i'm suppose to be here? learn to CHILL OUT! lol. Well, I've been learning a lot about myself and have been thinking/praying a lot about what God has in store for me in the future. Part of me wants to go home and hop right into what I should be doing: family affairs and ministry.

i'm still thinking things through and waiting for God's direction. I received an encouraging word from a girlfriend of mine today -- she said she was very proud of me for the things i'm doing -- living off nothingness and just being in alaska... (there's more to that of course...). i dont normally talk to her very much but she said that she's been praying for me a lot lately ... and I got to share w/ her what was going on in my life. It all worked out nicely.

on that note, let me know if anyone wants to input all my email addresses to my address book. it's a very tedious job but i'll give you a cookie for it...or a donut.

1) cindy left israel on may 30th.
2) cindy arrived in kansas city late on the 30th.
3) cindy flew to las vegas on the 31st
4) cindy "moved" to anchorage, alaska on the 4th of june
5) cindy now lives out of her suitcase traveling throughout alaska [working.. im working here for the summer as a tour guide... lol. *in training as of now**]
6) cindy's plans are tentative. she'll move back to las vegas by october.

i'll be in the yukon and canada the next few days. plan to be back in anchorage next week sometime?? i think. lol.

i try to get online from time to time... it's nothing extensive though. i usually sign on, try to send some messages and sign back off.....

update on my last post: im no longer sick :). i got better within 24 hours so that's good. a friend of mine said i probably had a mild case of food poisoning.

we're back in jerusalem now and have begun our class lectures and field studies. talk about INTENSE! We walk over 5 miles a day to visit specific sites and learn about the history of it.... of course, there's so much history behind every site we've visited that there's no way we can really cover everything. yesterday we've vistited the city of david (where geographically his palace used to stand) and hezekiah's tunnel (where Hezekiah dug this tunnel to get water into the city). today we visited the temple (OH MY GOSH, WE WERE AT THE TEMPLE!! --not inside of course--mainly outside) and walked up (not all the way through though) the via somethign rosa (i dont want to butcher the spelling--which is where Jesus carried the cross). It's incredible. It's AMAZING! Wow.

well, if you wanan google and see where we're staying--we're staying in the Old City --which that itself has history (Sorry david, i confused the old city w/ the city of david).

dinner starts in like 30 mins and we still need to walk back to our hotel. my roommate left me and i stayed behind coz i needed to print something out for my professor. i'm working for agts while i'm in israel... lol. it never fails. shoot.

did i mention i underpacked for this trip? what does that mean? that means i need to do laundry every week! that means, i also need to carry my laundry to the school and wash them. argg!! i should just go and buy tshirts every other day or something. i underestimated the amount of clothing to bring--but then again, i'm not going back to springfield until october so i wanted to be careful w/ my packing. arg. oh well. i'll survive.

still waiting...

ill be back in LV by the end of the month for 3 days then i'm headed to alaska for 3 months. my life is crazy. i already live out of my suitcase... i think this trip is prepping me for that too.

okay homegirl is done. we're outs!

we're in jordan right now! we're heading out to petra tomorrow morning. it's been AMAZINGGGGGG!!!!
i'd like to write more but you guys will have to wait.

we went to jerasha, pella, and traveled to jordan this morning. we've been to a lot of sites actually... okay i cant think! pics will come later!

pray for me though--i'm already sick. ate something last night that made my whole day turn. puking and all that jazz alrady ;p i'm feeling good now but tomorrow? my attempt to eat breakfast might be an adventure.

so, quite a number of people have been asking me where I'm gonna go after graduation -- I don't mind because I know a lot of them have been praying for me....

all that to say, i had two great opportunities to serve at-- one in LA and one in Berkeley... as I was seeking the Lord the past few months, I thought, "surely, it's Berkeley!" hahah... but i was wrong.

Las Vegas, here I come! I'm coming home, friends! The rest is yet to be determined.

it's the last week of classes! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!
Graduation is on May 3rd @ 1:30 pm @ Central Assembly. Another chapter of my life ends and a new one begins... my life is crazy. I still remember how many of you came out to see me and esther off at the airport. I remember getting on that plane, tears coming down my eyes, and thinking, "My life will never be the same." What a journey. I don't regret any minute of it.

eh, i'll save this post for another day.

looking foward to seeing some familair faces soon. i cant wait! Ben Choi--Hollaaa!! Ann & Valarie! Esther & Billy! David & Ronald (even though Ronald just left yesterday...seems like the guy loved us so much, he's coming back! lol)! That's a lot coming from out of town already. Geez. RYAN-WE'LL MISS YOU!!!!!!!

okay im tired. it's almost 2 am and I'm still doing my laundry. aish. okkkaaay bye.

On that note, I can feel the pressure of the end of the semester crunch. Ronald is here this week; I tried getting all my stuff done before he came but that didnt happen. I just hope and pray that God will seize time so I can get everything done.

1) 2 pg reflection
2) 4-5 pg reflection
3) 10-12 pg reflection
4) 20 hours worth of mapping

that's all i have left for this semester! Oh my goodness! It's intense. INTENSE!!!

My dad's coming in less than a month. I'm pretty excited about that. Initially none of my family members were gonna come up for my graduation ... but I think my mom felt bad so she convinced my dad to come out or osmething. haha. IDK. She said he needs to get away anyway. He'll be busy running around w/ me for graduation -- got a few ppl lined up to see: ann, valarie, ben, billy, esther, david :) YAY!
