I'm still alive, I've just been busy.  On Friday, I turned 16. It was an interesting day. We'd already celebrated my Birthday with Papa and Grandma on Monday, when Dad and Mom gave me my new purity ring, and on Thursday, with Dennis and Maryann, so it was a rather quiet day. Mama and I did some chores, I made dinner, and the internet cable broke. We finally got the dial-up to work last night, and hopefully, Comcast will come and fix our cable soon!

I've been going to Bible Study on Friday nights with Penny M. and her family. That's been so much fun. Midweek Bible Study has so much more of a "family-feel" to it. I love it. We're studying the Character of God, in preparation for Psalms, and it's been really good.

My grandparents bought me a new Bible for my birthday, a MacArthur Study Bible, Signature Edition. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it hasn't come in the mail yet. I'm really looking forward to it.

I signed up for Driver's Ed online today. . .I've completed a little over 30% of the work, so I'm hoping I might possibly be finished by next week. Then I could start driver's training, and possibly even help with some of the driving to and from the Desert Cabin in April! That would be neat.

Time flies by so quickly. Another year is gone forever. That time can never be regained. I'm reminded of what Nate Saint said many years ago, "People who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives ... and when the bubble has burst, they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted." I have to sit and ask myself, have I, too, wasted another year on myself? Have I spent my year living for God, or for self?

I was talking with Dennis last night, and he was saying that most girls my age don't care about evangelism. They think it's no fun, a waste of time. Sadly, that's true. It's so easy to ignore the fact that 150,000 people will die today. 150,000! Just think about that for a minute. So many people dying. Even if 75% of those people went to heaven, that still 37,500 people dying without the Lord every day! Sadly, no where near 75% of those who die end up in heaven. It would be my guess that well over 100,000 people die every day without having a relationship with Jesus Christ! That is just so heart-breaking, and yet so many times we sit and try to ignore that fact. We waste our time here and now, enjoying life, while millions out there are dying without hope. We can't change the world. We can't even make other Christians care, but we can change ourselves. We can make sure that we take the time to share the gospel with those we meet.

I love the story of the man on George Street. He shared the gospel every day for about 40 years, without seeing one single person accept Christ, yet he continued to share the gospel. A few weeks before he died, he found out that many people had accepted Christ because of his witness, and they were missionaries, pastors, chaplains, all leading many people to Christ, because of his simple witness. We may be rejected, but God can use that witness, anyway. Besides, it's not our job to save people, it's simply our job to tell them Christ's message. I didn't mean to go on about this so long, but that's what I was thinking about this morning. :)

Oh, dear! Has it really been this long since I posted?  Life is good these days. I'm still going to the gym with Kathy. Last week Scott joined us, so I learned the proper way to work arms.

It's been really cold here lately. We've had a freeze warning in effect a couple of times. I hope it warms up soon, 'cause this cold is killing my legs. They haven't hurt this much in a long time.

The stockings for the Soldier's are almost done. We have meat, cheese, socks, popcorn, candy, and DVDs for each soldier. A local Movie shop closed this week, so we were able to get DVDs for each of the 30 soldiers. $5 per DVD is just incredible! Praise the Lord! We're going to be stuffing the stockings tomorrow after that all we have to do is get names/addresses from Scott, and figure out how to ship them without having to pay an arm and a leg. $200 for shipping is just outrageous!

I wore one of my new outfits to church this morning. Since Julie requested pictures, I asked Dad to take a couple outside after lunch. (Julie, I'll post pictures of the other outfits when I wear them.)

This evening Andrew is getting baptized!!! Yay!

Three people joined the chuch this morning, Dennis, Maryann and Leti, and we'll get more next week! I was noticing this morning, we always call it "The right hand of fellowship", but I didn't see many people shaking hands with our new members. :) I suppose hugs are better, since we're all one big family!
