Im back in the Coast Guard as a Reservist drilling in Ocean City, MD the 2nd weekend of everymonth. I love the USCG. if anyone is actually reading this.....lemme know | | |
| i am now back in my abode in abingdon after a day out at sea and a night's sleep at the beach. the fun of being on land again is already getting exhausted as stress arises again and the daily problems of life and a job I am not too particularly fond of hit once more. It's not that I hate my job and that I am not thankful I am not instead at a Golden Arches Inn flipping burgers, or as it appears these days jsut taking it out of a plastic tray. The job itself isn't bad and it is pretty chill, but the problem with it comes in that I have no passion for it. yea, i get to drive around i na forklift all day. woo hoo. real exciting. not so much. I would MUCH rather prefer a job on the high seas, but unfortunately I was born a century or two too late for traveling the world on a tallship by way of the old and much more dangerous routes, such as de cabo de horno, or for you lubbers, cape horn. But, there is also that thing of college to finish that is nagging at me, so it would be impractical to join up with a crew that sails tall ships around to different ports for publicity and whatever else they do. I guess that is why I settles on teh CG Reserves. It is a good medium. Get to chug my way through college and once a month I get the chance to go do what I love to do and be at that one place which never fails to bring about an inner peace within myself, a place that is both respected and feared by those who know it best, but a place I also call home, the sea. Right now, I have an incredible inner peace within me from my trip. ( I also got a good amount of fishing in too, which is always a plus). In addition to my trip out to sea and fishing (the boat I went on was a party boat for fishing, but that was an added bonus, the main reason was definitely for the chance to be underway in some form or another), I got the chance to go and visit my old work place, camp arrowhead, for a couple of hours and see people I haven't seen for a year or more. All in all, I would say that this has been the best weekend in a long time, and I bid you all a goodnight. Some of us get to work 4th of July. | | |
| ok ok ok. so, yes it has been quite a while. aight...Bonnaroo....wow. that's all I have to say. unfortunatly i missed a lot the first day b/c i passed otu asleep at around 10. so, i missed the mars volta and galactic and STS9....and dave matthews!! im sorry, but im defintely NOT a fan of dave. I would write more on bonnaroo...but, i really don't feel like it, and besides, what happened at bonnaroo stays at bonnaroo. i'm sure a lot of you know about sunday morning anyways. lol. and im sure most of you heard about that one picture. | It's been a bit since any kind of an update. I am really excited for teh Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in TN. I leave the day after tomorrow. I remember when it was jsut a crazy idea with me and jake. its gonna be soooo sweet. but good god I have SOO much to do it isnt even funny. and wednesday I also have MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) to go to ..that at like 5 in the am and could last until 5.30 pm. I hope not!! I plan on coming home fro mthat, grabbing a few hours sleep, and leaving aroun 11 pm for Bonnaroo. Life has been really busy lately, but then again, when has it not. I got ownzored in the Town Run, but its ok, i haven't really been running much lately. Anyways, I can't type much more, Im ricockulously tired.

| What a crappy day. Long story...couldnt get into fort meade, ended up going into work at 5.30 am and stayed until 5.15 pm. i'm so wiped. but christine and i had quite the text message conversation this morning. lol. yea, im a loser, i know. Bonnaroo is coming up in less than 2 weeks. I feel so unprepared..so I have to get that all planned and buy provisions, 2 grad parties this friday, HAVE to fill out my security clearance packet, for the 3rd time, HAVE to get processed to enter the military. Man, so many things happening at once. It's kind of like the academy I guess. I can do this. This should be a piece of cake to balance out. ugh, just liek christine said on her xanga, i have gone crazy. but then that implies that i wasnt crazy before, so maybe jsut have gone a little more crazy. im so rambling, so if any of you are still reading this complete nonsense, sry.
haha, whats better than not wantign to live at home anymore? when your mom tells you that you need to leave for a while. lol. yup. gotta love that.
