This is the first section of the thirteenth amendment to the US Constitution. Even with this amendment in place, there is still the military draft. Since, we are at war, I thought that this might be a good topic as well as the fact that there are many opinions concerning it. So...

Is the military draft backed by law?

Should it be legal in the first place?

What is wrong with the draft, if anything?

What are the benefits of the draft, if there are any?

Does it restrict a person's human rights?

Does it restrict a person's civil rights?

Historically, has the draft been good?

"Give me liberty at my death". That quote came from a sign that was held in front of the Supreme Court while the doctor assisted suicide law was being argued. As most of you know the Supreme Court found it legal to have a doctor aid a suicide. So...here it goes...

What is the purpose of suicide?

Is suicide ever morally right?

Should doctor assisted suicide be legal?

Did the Supreme Court over step its bounds?

Wow! I have to tell you that I have gotten so many e-mails asking and some of them begging for another post. Well…the day has come. I have found that me posting on Xanga is not a privilege but an obligation. I guess that my best excuse would be that I am busy which really isn’t a good excuse. One of my recent things that I have had to do is write a term paper. I chose a controversial topic (go figure). The topic that I chose was pacifism. So, I thought that that would be a good topic to put up on my Xanga. So…here it goes:

What is pacifism?

Is pacifism good?

Is war always just?

Is war never just?

(If “no” to both) When is war just?

Can war be just and kill innocent people?

What does “just” even mean?

As always please GIVE REASONS for your answers. What you say does not matter unless you give support. Please, feel free to talk about other questions and topics concerning pacifism. Also, if you have any suggestions on new topics either post them or e-mail them to me. With that said…please post and sorry for not posting for a long time.

All over the world there are laws about gun. Gun control laws as people call them. I would like to deal only with gun control or lack thereof in the U.S., however if you want to bring up examples from other countries then that’s ok too. The Second Amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” That is where people say that we citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. So…here are the questions:

Should we have gun control?

Should we have a right to carry concealed guns?

Does the second amendment only apply to a Militia?

Would having gun control save lives?

What would be the purpose of a gun control law?

Does the second amendment give people the absolute right to keep and bear arms?

Should guns be more or less available then they are now?

Should there be gun registration?

Please give reasons for your arguments. Thanks…and that’s it for now…

Life and Justice. The only place that these to really come in conflict that I can think of is because of The Death Penalty. So that is the topic...

Does a man who murders another man have the right to life?

What is the proper purpose of the Death Penalty?

Is there a danger in having the Death Penalty?

If so what is it?

How do we assure that an innocent man is not murdered?

Should the U.S. use the Death Penalty on mentally retared people?

What about rehabilitation?

Should the U.S. even have authority to use the Death Penalty?

A few days ago I posted asking for topics. There were many good ones that were presented however the one that everyone wanted to do seemed to be that of women. So here we go...

Should women be pastors?

Should they be in a position of authority in the church?

Should they be Presidents?

Should women be allowed in the military?

Should women have authority over men?

Are men and women created equal?

I am so sorry to all of you for not posting a question for a while, jimma. I ahve been busy with school and I am finishing writing a paper on Purgatory. I don't know how it is going to turn out so I am a bit nervous. But, I thought that I might as well post on that. So, here are the questions:

What is Purgatory?

Does it even exist?

What would be the purpose of Purgatory?

Who would be in Purgatory?

How do you get out of Purgatory?

What determines how long you stay there?

A woman walks into an abortion clinic and has an abortion. Most people only think about that child's life on earth. Almost no one thinks about where that child spends eternity. So, as you probably guessed the topic is abortion.

Is it ever justified to have an abortion?

Where does an aborted child spend eternity?

(If all aborted children spend eternity in heaven) Would aborting the child be more glorifying to God then to have the child?

Does an unborn child even have a soul?

The other day I was watching one of my favorite shows--Monk. The episode that I was watching was the one where he goes to Vagas. His friend loses $35,000. Monk, because of how smart he is, counts a few cards and get all the money back. Now gambling (casting lots) in the Bible has always been used to determine God's will with the exception of Christ's clothes and the soldiers at the cross. This raised a few questions.

Is gambing (what you do in Vegas not the Biblical kind) unBiblical?

Is it immoral?

Can we use it Biblically today?

Why do people gamble anyway?

Would you gamble? Why or Why not?
