  • Unity; The gift of the Holy Spirit/actively building up the church

    My dear readership,

Every letter like this has a sort of mellow sound to it. But farewells don't have to be that way.
I am in a different stage in my life, then when I started my first Xanga.
The Lord has brought amazing believers in my life recently who have captured my admiration and great joy
; ).   I also desire deeply to get more involved in the wonderful ministry of fellowship and building up of my local church.

    (see scripture texts here)

    Ephesians 4:1-5; 11-13

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

                                            ~            ~            ~
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
                                            ~            ~            ~

There is one body and one Spirit just as you were called to one hope when you were called-
One Lord, one faith, one baptism; One God and Father of all,
who is over all and through all and in all...
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

                                            ~              ~            ~
to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
                                            ~              ~             ~

until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

    Romans 12:1;5;10-13;16;18

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship...

so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others...

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Never be lacking in zeal, -->
but keep your spiritual fervor, --->
                                                                                                                     serving the Lord.

[Note: this is how we retain our "Zeal" --- we serve the Lord!]

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality... [these are all ways to serve the Lord! -- as well as the next one -->]

                                              ~               ~            ~
Live in harmony with one another.
                                               ~               ~            ~

Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. (visualize Michal who dispised her husband while he was dancing before the Lord )
    ...
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you,

                                               ~               ~              ~
    live at peace with everyone."
                                               ~               ~              ~

    Galatians 6:9, 10

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap  a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity,

                                               ~               ~               ~
let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
                                               ~               ~               ~

There are more verses, but you get the point, if you would like more verses send me a message, and I will add them in. But for now I am just explaining why you will find less of me on this blog. It is not that Xanga is "wicked", it is simply not where the Lord is pointing me to at this point. (I am keeping up with a few of you on Facebook at this time, mainly because of the Wedding and all, and also I can reach more of you on there at one time -- if we are to go to bed at night ready for the Lord's coming time management is a thing that MUST be practiced) <-- You might say I want the Lord to feel he truely owns my time. (and my personal Xanga at this momment is lacking in "eternal value") [<-- sad to say] and also... my pastors wife and son are on there! -- yeah for Facebook!

None the less, I LOVE YOU GUYS!!
(be patient with one another while I am away) -- I may check on some of you from time to time. So keep up the good work, that He is doing in you! [grin]

In Our Lords grace, and to the beauty of His silent love,
    ~Lael
BTW... please agree with me... "toning is time consuming!!" <-- and yet...  (the dress will look sooo much more awesome with it!!) [bye!!!]

  • Into/Jazz

    Mission statement (sort of):
I hope this can remain a public blog, as I rather like being "open." (at least to say I am open... verses closed)
I do have a private blog, (which will remain a private blog) and if I have anything private I wish to say I will post it there. --Mind, I hope to limit the amount of private blogging I do. --

This blog is mainly to keep up with the blogging culture, what you all think/feel/experience as we move forward in history.

So to give a smashing beginning I put before you the Jazz band from OC-Bremerton!

About Me

  • This is where I post so that my friends can hear from me (every now and then)... --Let that be said-- I am interested in: Art, Culture, and the way Christianity has affected each of these. To quickly classify [these topics I may write about] Music wise: Classical, Jazz, Celtic, and Musicals...(basically anything you can dance or sing too) Art wise: Impressionism, Romanticism, and most Enlightenment works (Color is Beautiful!) Politics: Towards giving further understanding (and hopefully not towards confusion/mass united voting) Theology: Most likely I shall ask questions to spur you to further scripture reading (I like to hear people back up why they came to their viewpoints with scripture) Activities: Cricket, Hiking, Running, 4H, and Education Books: Those that honor God, and give us a better understanding of the universe He has given us. Movies: Very much like books, those that I would not have a problem watching with God right next to me. ~L's
