Now as Paul Harvey would say... "Now for the rest of the story"
As Crazy Horse left the truck stop he wondered if the mean girl would really give Something Special the note for him. All the way back to Baton Rouge he wondered what he would say to her when and if she really called him. He wondered if he had bit off more than he could chew. The next day Crazy Horse was out at his place in the country tending to the 50 head of cows that he had, When suddenly his pager went off. (BEEP BEEP BEEP) He grabbed the pager and looked at it. As his heart beat faster and faster. OH MY GOD, he thought Its her. For a few seconds he became really nervous. I can't believe it she really called me, he said. Running like a chicken with no head he finished feeding the cattle and headed for Baton Rouge so he could return her call from his house.
When he got home he picked up the phone and hesitated for a second. Taking a deep breath he dialed the number. it seemed like every ring took for ever. and then finally he heard her voice. "Thank You for calling York Travel Plaza, This is Michelle can I help you" Crazy Horse forced out the word "Hey Michelle, this is Jeff you paged me" (AS IF HE WAS DOING HER A FAVOR CALLING HER BACK) He felt like a idiot. Michelle said, "Well I got your note and you said to call you." He's thinking real fast. "Oh yeh he says, I left the note there when I passed through last night. Crazy Horse then proceeded to put his foot in his mouth many times during the next two hours on the phone with her. But by the time it was over he had told her he was going to come by on his way back through and she had said that would be fine. Crazy Horse hangs up the phone and says, "YES" He could not believe he had really done it, he had really talked to her on the phone. And better yet she had even said it would be nice to see him again. He could not wait to see her again so he called his company and scheduled a load up to Greenville Alabama (about 10 miles from york) The next morning he was on his way back up to Alabama. He was in such a hurry to get back to her he got a ticket in Mississippi for 88mph in a 70mph zone. This would be the first of 6 tickets he would get coming and going from Alabama over the next year. Many of the tickets came from him not wanting to leave her untill the last minute. (Like at 2am when he was suppost to be in Houston Tx at 9am) The biggest ticket he ever got was for 113mph in a 70mph zone. ( THE State of Mississippi payed for I-59 with proceeds from this)
Crazy Horse was always so shy around her while at the same time tring to act tuff. (THAT IS HARD TO DO) She never really let him know it but she could see right through the tuff act. But she just let him keep on acting like a SUPER TRUCKER. Then one night as Crazy Horse was walking her to her car after work she turned and hugged him. (You could have heard a nat fart) Crazy Horses heart just about jumped out of his chest. As he hugged her from about 4 inches away. He could not believe she actually had touched him. OH MY GOD, he thought. She touched me, I hope that I didn't blow it by not really hugging her back. And I hope she doesn't think I don't like girls. But She could feel his shyness and did not over do it. She told him by, got in her car and drove off. As she drove off Crazy Horse just stood there with this blank look on his face as her perfume still filled the air. (She always smelled so good to him) Her scent could make him get so..... (OPPS LETS NOT GO THERE YET) Over the next few weeks Crazy Horse returned to York many times. Each time he returned he looked forward to his hug goodbye from her. And then one day he got up the nerve to really hug her back. And boy did he hug her, BONES CRACKED he hugged her so tight. He tought he would never turn loose of her. He never wanted that hug to end, she felt and smelled so good to him. And just when he had got over his shiness on hugging her. SHE KISSED HIM ON THE CHEEK! (OH MY GOD, HERE HE GOES AGIAN) He could not believe it. SHE KISSED ME! he said to himself.
Then as when she first hugged him she got in her car and drove off. This time Crazy Horse not only had that look on his face but the wall he had built around his heart was starting to fall. (But he was to tuff to let it show, or at least he thought he was)
