  • Lookingback

Ok I just watched Edward ScissorsHands for the first time since I was 5 and to tell the truth I can see where I scared the crap out of me but at the same time I find it very interesting because it is a very pretty movie. But the reason I set down to watch it (since it was already on) was because I remember back to my freshman year. It was the first night that it snowed in Nashville and Tetra Aimee and I were all inside watching movies with some friends. Well after they left we all got on Tetra’s bed with out hot coco and watching the snow fall. Tetra said wait I have the perfect music for this. She got out the soundtrack for this movie and played the song where she was dancing in the snow. I didn’t remember the seen since I was 5 the last time I saw the movie. But though I did not remember it but I felt like it was perfect. We went and played outside after that and I was dancing in the snow on the soccer field (before anyone else had ruined it) and all I caould hear was that song……Well back to the present. Well it was a good movie and I wish I had watched it sooner but oh well. And this here is for Steve and anyone who knows Steve.  Well in the last two days I have seen two movies with Cathy Bates in it and all I could think was Oh that’s who he always talked about. The funny thing was the movie I saw yesterday with Cathy Bates in it also had the Girl that played Joon in Benny and Joon. (the movie was Fried Green Tomatoes) Well I am off of here because my movie is over now!!! Later!

  • Snow white has the best prince charming

Ok after babysitting all summer I have watched A LOT of Disney. The reason I point this out that I have been baby-sitting is so you know why I watched so many Disney movies to where I can make these comments. Still to this day I stick with Snow White, Dumbo, and Sword in the Stone are the better movies Disney made. Now after watching Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and thought I did not watch Little Mermaid I can say hands down that Snow White’s Prince Charming is the best looking. He is dressed like an Old English prince. HE has brown hair that looks like if it were real would be so soft and would move so perfectly. Also he wins in my book because he saves her from a fate worse than death, eternal beauty that she cannot use because she is in a sleep that mimics death. I mean he had no clue it would wake her up! He did it because he loved her and wanted to give her one last kiss! Now in close 2nd is prince Phillip from sleeping beauty. Now he has more character to him than any other prince. I mean you even get to see him tell his dad forget that baby Aurora I saw only once in my life when I was like 5, I want this peasant girl I meet out in the woods (thank goodness they were one in the same). Yes he did save her from a sleep to but come on the good fairies told him what he had to do! Now out of all of the people who become king, Author from Sword in the Stone has to be my favorite. He is not planning on it his ambitions are all about becoming Kay’s squire. I mean he goes by the Wart! How much faith would you have in yourself if that were what you were called? Now I haven’t included Aladdin or the Lion King in the prince category because 1) Aladdin wasn’t even a prince he lucked into that one unlike Wart who had to fulfill the myth of the Sword in the Stone. 2) Simba isn’t a person therefore I can’t find him hot.

Now when it comes to the other great movies that I love by Disney I have things I wish would come true from them. Like Peter Pan I wish that I had some pixie dust and all I would have to do is think of happy thoughts and I would be flying!!!  I mean think of all the gas money I would save and I could go see Amanda. I mean if they can go to the 2nd star to the right and straight on to morning with out getting tired I think I could make it to FL.

Now I also wish it was true that you turned into a donkey when you drank just like on Pinocchio. I personally think that would stop a lot our drinking problems. Now I would have it where it would where off but at lest that way no one would be driving home drunk and they would have a reason to be jackasses. Now my mom was like you know to bad you don’t grow a tail like in Pinocchio. But the difference would be that the more you drink the longer the tail (kind of like his nose did when he lied) so you would know how drunk you are with no question.

I also wish that when you laughed you would float to the ceiling and you could have a tea party while up there. Also how cool would it be to jump into a chalk panting! Let me just tell ya I wish I had Marry Poppions as my nanny growing up!

Now I have also watched MANY hours of Playhouse Disney and as sad as I am to say that they no longer have my fav show on there I still enjoy it. Now Charlie and Lola inspired me to write kids books. Handy Manny makes me laugh knowing that Wellmer off of that 70’s show is the voice. Now I wont tell how much I like this part of my day because it shows I have no life. Just put it this way I have started to tell time by what show or song is on Disney.

Now there is nothing better than hearing a little kid sing the songs from Disney movies. It does not matter if all you here is Hi HO HI HO IT’S OFF TO WORK WE GO HI HO HI HO IT’S OFF TO WORK WE GO! Over and over its cute. Or an one year old saying PAT PAT PAT PAT and raising there hands just wanting to scream BLASTOFF but not being able to! Little girls dancing around to songs and saying their Cindyella (Cindy Ella aka Cinderella). This might have been a long summer but I will never forget it and will always love the memories that I had! So here is a recommendation for anyone who has read this much of my blog. Go get a kid that you love and who is little and get a Disney movie and see what joy you get from it!!!!
