| Meaning of DBADIn line with the tag line and as a concession to the Dukes of Hazard TV show, DBAD stands for "Don't Be A Dipstick". Often, we choose to do our own thing our own way without regard to others and especially to God. When that happens, we break the "dipstick" rule as embodied by the acronym DBAD. So, it is my personal goal, though frequently failed, to stirve to avoid being a dipstick. If we're doing something selfish, stupid, rebellious agianst authority (especially the authority of God and His Scriptures) or unwise, we're being dipsticks and are consequently breaking the dipstick rule. For those of you with a patriotic streak, here's a link to a song by Billy Ray Cyrus entitled, "Some Gave All": http://www.cmt.com/loaded/index.jhtml?vid=26252 |
