This 'update' is on a MUCH lighter note. I'm in Santa Barbara, just got back from 'downtown' and am getting ready to leave again. This is a nice place, and I really like the weather.

SO...last night was awesome! I went to Goleta for the shoot, and it was awesome! I walked up to Gavin to introduce myself, and then I turned to Jason, and he did the whole 'Hi I'm Jason' thing, and when I said I was Adrianne he was like 'Oh, hey! you made it! Dude, this is the girl that came from Colorado!" and Gavin was like 'no way! that is so cool, you have no idea how much that means to us! mad props" and he gave me a hug. I honestly wasn't expecting anything more than a hello, but got so much more. The whole night was crazy.

I got a lot of footage of the shoot, and in between takes, and a lot of Gavin too. He's definately NOT camera shy! :D They're so down to earth. Ryan and Nick were there, and Nick hasn't been in Staring Back for almost two years. I didn't take a camera, but I have it all on film. I think Gavin is one of my new 'favorite people.' He was so outgoing, and fun, and just real cool to be around. They all signed a poster, and I took my old cd and they signed it, and Jason gave me a shirt. Well, I suppose it's really from all of them, but anywho it's my new prized possesion.

They were packin up, and asked how long we were staying and where, and Gavin was like 'okay, well, you should e-mail me, and whoever's hangin out, and we should go have lunch or somethin." All in all, it was an amazing opportunity that I'll never forget, and the trip out here, as horrible as it was, was so worth it.

Oh yeah, can't forget Tony Hawk! We had a little discussion about how much Gavin looks like Tony Hawk, and how people told him that like 20 times a day at warped tour. yep, it was quite amusing. So that was pretty much it, except for the part about Nick hiding in the bathroom so he didn't have to get his makeup done, that was fun. So, yeah, I get to save all the rest of the details for myself! If no one knows, it makes it more 'special.' lol. k, I'd better get going! Later all!

okay...scratch the good mood. I can't sleep. Today has been one of the longest days of my life. I went to bed at 4, and around 6 all three of my sisters came into my room and sat on the bed with me and tried to wake me up.

 I should've known something was up, but i was too tired, and I didn't want to get up. I heard them talking. When i heard 'maybe we should just let her sleep, i wouldn't want to wake up to that' and 'no, because she needs to know, we can't keep it from her.' i woke up.

They told me that my Aunt Rose passed away at 4 this morning. You know the saying 'my blood ran cold' well, mine did, and i couldn't breathe, all I could think was that it was a nightmare, and i had to wake up. I didn't want to be around everyone, so i sat on my bathroom floor in the dark and cried.

She was my dad's aunt, but she was more like a grandma to me. I really miss her. she was an amazing woman...she would've been 85 this year, yet she was still on her feet, and very independent. Up until a few weeks ago, that is. That's when we found out that she had breast cancer. The doctors did surgery yesterday, even though she didn't want them to. I really do believe that she would've died of old age before the cancer got to her. She just wasn't strong enough to deal with the surgery.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'll be gone for a while, because we're goin to New Mexico tomorrow morning. Best wishes to all of you and your families, and don't take them for granted, because you might not have them for long.

...everyone got kind of mad at me, because I didn't take my headphones off all day, but I don't think they should've. Everyone has their own way of dealing with things, and mine is to bury myself in music, and I don't see a problem with that...do you?

My keyboard freaked out and wouldn't let me write anything else...I wanted to say Happy Birthday to Kayla.

I'm babysitting-9mos and 4mos, and they're both sleeping. It's nice to have off time, but I have a feeling they'll both wake up at the same time.

I'm gonna see if I can get a group of people together to collect and distribute the blankets, shirts, socks, and whatever else we can get together to pass out downtown. Hmm...maybe I can get the news stations to help us...I'll have to look into that. I'm clueless, so if anyone knows what I have to do to be able to do a legal drive, please let me know. Thanks!

We're still trying to figure out what's goin on for the video shoot. We know where it's at, and we're driving, but we still don't know when were leaving, who all is going, where we're gonna stay, ect. lol...this is gona be fun. I like not having a plan once you get there. Hmm...17 1/2 hours in the car with a bunch of girls. fun...? yeah, I'll be alright, there's a stereo : D
