I got back from China on Sunday but was too lazy to update this. The fact of the matter is that Livejournal completely owns xanga, even though most of my friends don't have one, which can actually be a good thing sometimes. So I'll read any comments left on my xanga, but I won't reply to them unless somebody has some kind of urgent news. Don't know why anyone would leave me breaking news in a comment, though. That's what AIM's for.

I'm sorry I don't have any photos up at the moment. The family has deemed installing the uploading program too risky for our old Windows '98, but I think we'll have to since it doesn't look like I'm getting a laptop until the end of the year. A lazy Sunday shall be best for this chore. So wait! Be patient!

At the moment, my throat is sore, my voice is a tad off, and I have a slight cough, which I caught from Keane. But it doesn't really matter because Keane's roomate, Nolan, whom I have talked to a few times, is coming over to our house TONIGHT!!!! This is going to be so weird.

An even more important date on the calendar is August 29th. That's the day we Lowllites enter The Arena to choose our classes. I don't wanna go back obviously because it really is hell, but I have to so the least I can do is hope soph year will be better than freshman year in all aspects: friend-wise, teacher-wise, event-wise, dance-wise, etc. etc. Ergh.

Well, that's it. I'd just like to say that anybody that hasn't finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince needs to finish it NOW; anybody that hasn't given the Kaiser Chiefs a listen needs to do that NOW; and anybody that wants to reach me can do so at my makeshift, my myspace, and my livejournal (you can leave comments even if you don't have one). Cheers!

Saturday, July 09, 2005

It's 12:30 AM and my reasons for being here are:

a)I don't like getting off the computer early on a Friday night and
b)I miss reading my subscriptions.

So everything's been just dandy. This past week has gone by so quickly. Monday was July 4th, of course, and the whole family stayed in, ate watermelon, and watched the fireworks of course. The next day, neither Keane or I felt like getting up, so we stayed home and lazed around. Wednesday was a really, really fun day with Kimberly, Anna, and Annie because I met some new guys who were great to hang out with.

I spent all Thursday morning watching the news because of the London bombings: three subways, one double-decker bus, 37 confirmed dead, and hundreds injured. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families. (I still wish we would just finish up with Iraq already and stop meddling with other countries' affairs as the US is known to do.)

And today I hung out with the same group on Wednesday, but it didn't feel exactly the same. I got some good footage of Annie and Anna arguing though haha. I love that feature on my camera. Yesterday, Keane was dancing to James Brown and I caught a little bit of it! He was so embarrassed =D

So...I'm packing tomorrow...and I'm feeling all nervous and crap. Blahhh.

One last thing: Thanks so much to Spencer for the Kaiser Chiefs poster! Hope you see this..If not, well, everyone else can feel happy for me! I only get to enjoy it for a day before we jet off though =[[[[[

Thursday, June 23, 2005

Okay I haven't posted in ages since I've been wary of xanga's pop-up ADs. So a quick rundown of how my summer's been:

I've been hanging out with Keane almost every day. Some days are funner than others, but it doesn't really matter since he's my older brother and I don't get sick of him.

I've watched Amelie (too lazy to put in that accent), Say Anything, Dodgeball, High Fidelity (my second time), and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. All high-quality movies.

My family finally owns a digital camera! Two to be exact. One for the family and one for Keane since his college is across the country.

We'll be leaving for China July 12th and returning August 8th. The heat shall surely be the death of me.

I don't miss anyone or anything, really. Sometimes I get slight pangs, but nothing too significant.

Sorry I won't be commenting on anyone's xangas any time soon. You can find me on myspace though. Yeah, yeah, I know, but it's really not that bad. Have an ace summer, everyone! GET OUT THERE AND GET A TAN....or get sunburned if your skin hates you.

Wednesday, June 08, 2005

SCHOOL'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!! CELEBRATION TIME!!!! Hell no am I going back to Lowell for the last few days. Screw my finals results! Today I hung out with Keane and only went to school to empty out my beloved locker and get my OC DVDs back from Aza (she still forgot them =O). I got a lovely surprise though; I saw some people I didn't think were going to be in the library, but lo and behold, there they were. But I liked the feeling of having to say goodbye yesterday. Seeing them today felt too odd, misplaced, and depressing.

Tomorrow, I'm going to hang out with Keane again. We're taking a camcorder around the city and filming Keane's life for his girlfriend back in Maine. He has footage of me when I woke up this morning. I was freaking out and complaining cos Annie's TV Guide said that Kaiser Chiefs were going to be on Craig Ferguson last night, so I stayed up past 1 and then some fricking Spanish band came on. LIKE WTFBBQ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I'm seeing them on Friday at BFD though--hooray!

On another note, I can't stop missing a senior. All of the ones I know from Drama are cool, it's just...something different with him and something I can't explain or I don't feel like explaining. The class of '05 graduates tonight at the Masonic Auditorium. The ceremony begins at 7, I believe.

Everything feels so final.

Tuesday, May 31, 2005

Yep, haven't done one of these in awhile. I got this from Carmen!

THREE THINGS I AM WEARING RIGHT NOW
1. Pajama pants
2. A way-too-dirty, sky blue sweatshirt
3. My new glasses

THREE THINGS ON MY DESK
1. TIME magazines
2. A Spider-man PEZ dispenser
3. The kickass Yoda toy Keane got from Burger King

THREE THINGS I WANT TO DO BEFORE I DIE
1. Bungee jump or sky dive
2. Tell those guys&gals close to my heart what I really think of them.
3. Meet somebody famous.

THREE GOOD THINGS TO DESCRIBE MY PERSONALITY
1. Caring
2. Optimistic
3. Generous

THREE BAD THINGS ABOUT MY PERSONALITY
1. I get frustrated and have hateful moments.
2. I pay too much attention helping people with their problems to focus on mine.
3. I don't speak up enough.

THREE THINGS I LIKE ABOUT MY BODY
1. My eyes. (That's a feature, rather than a body part, but it counts dammit.)
2. My arms, I guess.
3. My small hands.

THREE THINGS I DON'T LIKE ABOUT MY BODY
1. The length of my legs.
2. My nose.
3. Scars in the worst places (Again, more of a feature than a body part, but shut up.)

THREE THINGS I SAY THE MOST
1. Shut up!
2. What was I going to say?
3. BE QUIET. THEY'RE AWESOME.

THREE FOODS I LOVE
1. California rolls
2. Noodles
3. Carrot, potato, tomato, and celery soup

THREE FOODS I DESPISE
1. Spinach
2. Dry, white meat
3. Mushrooms

THREE BOOKS THAT I LOVE
1. The whole Harry Potter series
2. All the Gossip Girl books
3. Bone (it's a comic, or as seth puts it, a graphic novel. so be quiet.)

THREE FAVORITE PAST-TIMES
1. Playing cards at Ivy's.
2. Enjoying my role as volleyball catcher at Aim High.
3. Seeing blockbusters with the fam.

THREE BEST DATE SPOTS
1. Er I've never gone on a date, but I suppose the park would be nice. Right when it starts to get dark and the children clear off cos it'd be quiet, not cos we'd be able to make out.
2. The ice-skating rink's always a laugh, seeing as I can't skate for tofu.
3. Playing video games at an arcade or at the guy's house would be loads of fun.

THREE FAVORITE ARTISTS/BANDS
1. Kaiser Chiefs
2. Interpol
3. The Arcade Fire

THREE FAVORITE DRINKS
1. Juice Squeezes
2. 7up
3. Mango Madness Snapple

I really couldn't decide what I'd like to do before I die. That question was just too difficult. The others were pretty easy.

Monday, May 30, 2005

DAMMIT, I NEED TO SEE STAR WARS AGAIN, OR ELSE I'M GOING TO STRANGLE SOMEONE.

Okay.

Keane kept on jumping into my bed during the morning, turning on the TV and interrupting my sleep. After watching an informercial and some creepy-as-hell Teletubbies, I gave up on ever getting some peace&quiet and got out of bed. Then I actually studied for math! Of course, I got sidetracked but the point is that I opened up my binder and reviewed my homework before doing so. Yeahhh I started looking at pretty icons again. I couldn't help it; Livejournal is just filled to the brink with 'em! Finals begin officially on Friday, but there's an in-class essay in Spanish on Thursday. No hope for that one as my vocabulary is extremely limited.

Seeing that I was only using the computer to drool over Hayden Christensen and mourning the ending of The OC, season 2, Keane took over the computer and I moved over to the living room. That's the beauty of having a skylight: it makes the room the perfect spot to read in on a sunny day. I spent a few hours finishing up Prisoner of Azkaban there. Wonderful it was.

So this Memorial Day Weekend hasn't been a waste after all. I spent most of it with the fam and, of course, did loads of shopping. Let's hope the sun continues to grace our days with its presence!

Saturday, May 21, 2005

I'm at the Main Library right now on Keane's laptop. We're killing time before an optometrist appointment. Maybe I'll get new glasses, I'm not sure about the policy. Before we came over here, we went to Metreon and bought tickets to see STAR WARS tomorrow. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earlier today, from nine to twelve, I volunteered at Canon Kip, an old people's community center, with Charlene and TK. The center was celebrating somebody's birthday and Mother's Day, which they couldn't celebrate earlier cos they only get together every third Saturday. It was rather dull but only because they didn't have much for us to do. We had laughs and stuff, though, like when a guy started chewing on TK's Nerd Rope and when the guy sitting next to me asked if I was a mother too. Then we had to put on these little hats when we passed out oranges and poured milk. Those hats were pretty flipping cool!

Charlene's mom offered to take us to Serramonte, but I had the appointment and TK couldn't make it. Perhaps another time! I don't get out with Lowellites enough, I really don't. For some reason, I felt really worn out and emotion-less at the center, except when TK got a nosebleed and got everyone worried. I think it was getting up early that hindered my ability to fully enjoy my time with Charlene and TK. Damns it all!

Ooooooooooooh IT'S SLURPEE TIME.

EDIT--5/23/05--STAR WARS OWNS ALL.

Saturday, May 14, 2005

I'm hella stuffed with spaghetti. My stomach is aching. A perfect dinner.

Today's Friday the 13th and my lovely mom's birthday. She spent the whole day shopping of course. The choir concert was also tonight from 7:30 to 9. I hope Aza and Wendy didn't mess up =D

In short, the rally was a letdown. It just wasn't that exciting. I cheered and all, answering "WE HAVE WAFFLES!" to Faith's "EVIL BEWARE!" It's this thing from the game of Mao that she, Tom, Hans, and Matthew play all the time. During lunch today, she came up with the idea to have all the freshman do it during the rally. It was hilarious but it got pretty annoying after a while.

Dance Company was awesome as usual. I don't care much for Song and that other one...Senior Letter? Or something? Whatever. Urban Step was ghetto like always. "Hollaback Girl" and "Candy Shop" were predicatably in the mixes. "Oh, this my shit...This shit is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!" Ugh!! It's pretty catchy and stuff, but if you just think about it, Gwen could do so much better. But oh man, the cheerleaders were awesome. Kate and Kathy were so cool! That's another thing I love about being in Drama. You meet all these upperclassmen you'd otherwise be intimidated by.

Hanging out after school was hellsa fun. Janay and Charlene were scootering EVERYWHERE. Sophie was waiting for us at Stonestown, though, so we started walking. Janay urged Charlene to scooter down the hill/parking lot by the math wing/side entrance, turning all the way down past the science way. It was SO FUCKING COOL. We were running after her holding on to all of our shit, screaming "Go, Charlene, go! Ohmygod! Yes!!" It was so fricking crazy.

I love going to the Food Court when it's just me, Sophie, Charlene, Janay, Aza, and Linda. Linda's a nice addition actually. Well okay, she can be a tad too loud, but she's really out there too. Staring contests are really, really hard with her but I seriously think I had a chance. The first time I cracked, Sophie said something about cumming. The second time, Linda pressed down on my throat, which Keane's done before and doesn't really choke me. It's a right shock, though. I'd say stuff to make her blink, but I always feel like it's just going to make me blink instead.

Man, that's all I need on Fridays. The three F's: Fraps, fries, and friends.

EDIT: The most complicated moments and feelings cannot be put into words. So I won't rant, I refuse to. I'll save it for my #1 confidant tomorrow because she's a part of my past, present, and future. I seriously thought the present was getting better, but that was just Drama going to my head. When is this cycle ever going to end?

Sunday, May 08, 2005

HELL YEAH.

My BFD tickets are secure. I can rest easy now.

So I'm only going to go to Lowell for a few mods on the last day. Then I'm gonna cut 'cos the festival starts at noon. So much for sentimental good-byes...

Whatever, bitch, I'm gonna see the Kaiser Chiefs!!!!

Life's been okay. That's all though. Nothing over the top but nothing low enough to be depressing. I'm just antsy right now. I wanna stroll through Chinatown with the sunshine and the birds and the whole shebang already. I wanna go to CP at least once with the whole gang. I wanna drop by the best houses for fun, Kimberly and Ivy's. China's going to be hell, as I keep on whining to my friends, but it'll be a right treat before Lowell opens its doors again. GOD, GIVE ME SUMMER ALREADY.

Nostalgia is not good. The past wasn't even that great! But I still had good times and stuff...Gah, why couldn't I have adjusted nicely?

EDIT: Happy Mother's Day to all our beloved mums!

Saturday, April 30, 2005

Well I haven't done one of these in awhile:

Reasons to be happy

1. IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!
2. Cloudy day makes for a nice staying-in.
3. JR's paired with a nice gal. I can say more to her than I can to my own aunts.
4. The Lowell came out during mod 13. It was the first time I've ever seen people so excited about getting the newspaper. Almost everywhere I looked, people were reading it.
5. KAISER CHIEFS AT BFD, JUNE 10TH. AWESOME SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6. BFD in general's going to be kickass: Kasabian, Sleater-Kinney, Hot Hot Heat, The Bravery, Tegan and Sara, and Lyrics Born!!
7. Overusage of exclamation points!!!!
8. Fisher was absent.
9. Drama feels like last semester when we had plays to perform for finals. Except this time, we're doing Story Theater where we have to act out objects in addition to people. So far, I've been a cow, a raven, and part of a cliff. We're performing for the Lakeshore kids pretty soon, it's going to be jolly good fun! The advanced people are also doing scenes that they have to direct themselves. We haven't gotten to critique them yet though.
10. My stash of Ricky photos--and other people's.
11. Light homework load for some reason.
12. Dragon Ball Z, vol. 17. I've been waiting for it for ages! (Don't ask why, don't insult. DBZ rocks!)
13. Thinking of reading Order of the Phoenix again...
14. STAR WARS IS COMING OUT VERY, VERY SOON.
15. So is Batman.
16. THIRTY DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT.
17. Family Guy and American Dad tomorrow! The Simpsons' 350th episode too, which I could care less about since it features Ray Romano.
18. Actual conversations during lunch. Gasp!
19. The war between Ian and Marina in Lamarre's. Yeah, the Ian that "rocks" and is the "l337 h4xx012." I finally joined Ian's side and scared away Annie and Wilson from erasing "Yume lost to the psychotic fungus." Yume being Marina and the psychotic fungus being...Ian.
20. And lastly, but definitely not least, the scrape on my elbow.
