    A long overdue update...

WOW Xanga... I didn't think people still used this site.  Well now that I live out in California, I figure it was a good idea to start using xanga again.  It is a real hassle to keep calling everyone and updating each person individually.  I just work too much.  So here is a quick rundown of the past year....

Nov 9th 2007 - Graduated Basic Training for the USAF down at Lackland AFB, Texas
Nov 12th '07  - Took a 10 hour bus ride to Sheppard AFB, Texas for tech school
Jan ?? 2008    - Hopped on a plane to Seattle, WA to go to McChord AFB for more tech school training.
April 5th '08    - Arrived here in Cali at Travis AFB.  I am loving it!

In between those dates I visited home for Christmas, got engaged and now my woman is out here living with me.  Here are a few pics to simulate a montage....

  • A Life Changing Decision

Some of you make ask yourself, why does Crash have the logo for the Air Force on his xanga site?  The answer to that question is very simple, because June 5th, 2007, Crash will be stepping onto a plane and flying to San Antonio, TX, to Lackland Air Force base for Basic Training.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have enlisted in the US Air Force.  I have taken my physical, blood work, urine test, and a whole bunch of other tests.  This past friday, March 30, I was sworn in as an enlisted member by a Commander of the Navy.  This is one small step for man, but a giant leap for Crash.  As of right now I do not know where I am going to be stationed, that gets determined well after basic and probably midway through Tech School Training.  I will keep all updated even when I am in Tech School.  Adieu for now.

  • A new addiction...

Every winter I have been at the house I would always hear people talking about: Mt. Creek, Snowboarding, Triple Play Cards, Season Passes, Bindings, Burton, Air, Rails, Black Diamonds.  I have never been snowboarding and they all told me I should try it.  I was a big skate boarder in high school and I thought it wouldn't be any different.  I tried to go a few times but if you don't have a board it is just so expensive.  Last season my girlfriend went and I didn't!  I wasn't going to let another season go without getting on the slopes.  Since then I have gone a total of 5 times this season and my entire life.  It is so addicting.  It is my new drug.  Last tues. was a blast because I went with Adam and his friend Tim and all we did was go on the terrain park and do tricks.  It was awesome because they were telling me how to ride the boxes and rainbows and how to do the jumps.  I am happy to say that I did every obsticle in the park.  Maybe not as clean as they did and I may not have done all the cool 180's, but traverse boxes and jumps I did.  I wiped out 3 times towards the end but at least I didn't break or seriously sprain anything.

This past Saturday I went with Vincent and I went down
sa black diamond for the 1st time!  Well, it wasn't so good.  I went down mostly on my back.  However, I will def try that same trail again, next time I go.  Here are some pics that I have so far.  There will be more to come.
