Some friends needed to drain their pond to do some repaires...a bunch of folks were invited for supper and 'fish dipping'.   Lewis and Loren grilled the hotdogs,

Then the fun started....

Merv got the first bass into the boat.  Royal gets to show it off,   but Tresa got to bring it in....

Dwight had to work for this monster....a HUGE grass carp...

Dwight pitched him up on the bank, the little people were very intrigued with it,

that is until it started flopping around.   Then they had to be talked into coming back up to the thing.  They pulled out 5 of this creatures!!  One scale on these things was the size of a quarter!!!

Got quite a number of good size bass, a few bream and a couple of catfish. Surprisingly only one snake was seen...that I know of.  They shot a few turtles..

this one was pulled out before we got there...not all were this size!!!

Then getting cleaned up....with CLEAN water!! 

It was fun watching...there were times I wish I had a video camera....the ones in the water seemed to be having a blast!!!  I went back to the picnic area to pick up trash etc. and get our things to go home and saw this...--it was getting plenty dark for pictures....

A Wood Stork, getting his bed-time meal...He had been flying around all evening, - -waiting....I guess the next day or two there will be quite a gathering of these and other of their kind, having a regular feast.     Lewis's and Curtis's,  Thanks for the fun evening!!!       ~~I must run...Have a good day everyone!!    Later..............

Yesterday Sheila needed to take their car to the 'hospital', so we had a gals day!!  It has been a LONG time since we have done that!!  Our main stops were thrift stores, then lunch of course!!  Was real 'proud' that Jessica could take off work long enough to eat with us!  - Thanks girl!!  Here is two of my treasures....

The best thing....I got both for less than $2!!!!!   I just could NOT leave the picture!  As soon as I saw it I thot of my Grandmother.  It just looks like something she would have had hanging in one of her bedrooms. I think it is sooo sweet!! She has such an angelic look... so innocent    The ginger jar???  Isn't it pretty??  I just love the blue!!   (Duh--for those of you that know me!!!)   Hey, hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!   Later
