很忙的weekend...

星期五 Friday Night............
Equity Team 大地震.........所以我地二十幾人去左 time squares 後面一間叫 SM 的 Restuarant 食 Dinner Celebrate 一下...

老闆好開心咁sponsor左好多紅and白酒.........
但係都唔係好夠喉.........

我剛剛轉左 team.......趁機隊左我舊老闆兩杯......

很喜歡他的金句.....
"一係同我 Bottom's Up, 唔係我唔同你飲"
咁我緊係答 " Of course ! 多多都同你飲, 老闆乾杯 !"

星期六去 Mentor Jimmy 屋企拜年 ......
佢d mentees 大部份係 Business Degree ....個個都係做 Bank.......haha....

攪到d social science mentees 話,
" Hong Kong is all finance, nothing else! " .......

我話唔係....... 我地都係打份工......搵兩餐 ......... 無其他求生技能嘛.......

食完飯.....d mentees 都話唔夠喉........坐 MTR 去 Time Squares Shooters 到飲多杯......
HKU 同 CUHK d 學生真係唔同d.......
我地每人只係飲左一杯紅酒.......Very civilized......hahahaha......

跟住小學同學打電話來話佢地都係去左 CausewayBay 飲野.......重要在登龍街.......
我見十一點幾......都ok.....咁就上去同佢地玩一陣......

小學同學真係好玩d .........I like it.
我d 大話骰好弱.......其他男仔都唔勁.........比人一個連贏我地五個.......
飲到呢.........不過都無"湯"到........
一玩就玩到成四點先返到屋企.......

我都未試過連飲兩日....好彩星期日起身無頭痛............唔死得

Learned how to drive a racing boat on Sunday.
It was really fast compare to the beginner boat ( the white one in the previous post ). haha
I wore gloves but I still got 2 big 水pok on my hands...

Now learning Squash at the cotton tree road court twice a week, just next to my office...
very convenient haha.....
really thanks for my friend Fung to help me buy a squash racquet.

For my non-finance friends,
you can treat my new duty as telling people how much they make/lose everyday.

Pretty easy, right?

Let me give you an example of a good day and bad day.

1.
At the middle of the day (6:00pm),
I call up my trader, ' Hey man, you make 1 million today '
he would probably say , ' Great, thanks '
and then i can go home at 6:01pm

2.
At the middle of the day (6:00pm),
I call up my trader, ' Hey man, you lose 1 million today '
he 100% will say, ' What the F did you say ? Give me a damn detail report on why i lose 1 mil '
and then I will go home at 12:00am ....

真係好好玩........下星期會再去.........

嘩......原來有個即興 dinner gathering.........

我拿拿臨返屋企.....
用十萬塊膠布 stick 滿成隻手.......
沖個涼再出去食 dinner.......hahaha

If yes then I think I can write a damn long paragraph on -- How I treat my time and what i expect other people to do onto me.

If no then I think I really have high EQ right now hahaha
Right now i only want to say god damn it.

2) I'm too embarrassed to say no to you
3) I want to kill time
4) I have nothing else to do

Then you are definitely fxxxing wrong.

I only give my most precious time to the ones I want to give.

So If you don't really want to see me and share your life with me,
please don't bother to date me.

So If you are wearing a mask in front of me,
please don't bother to even talk to me.

I don't social just for the sake of social now,
So when I'm spending time with you, I really value you and our friendships.

Please don't waste my time.

做人最緊要

2. 有 Style

Inspired by my colleagues and friends,

"after you have worked as a banker for 30 years,
you may dress yourself up with gucci or armani,
you may eat some good food once a week,
you may earn yourself a small and decent house,
you may go to work by taxi everyday,
But, you don't have life"

inspired me quite a lot, really thanks the ones who told me this.

I haven't tried new things for a really long time,
it's really time that i should start again.

to try new sports,
to find new leisures,
to read some new books, (um...hopefully not finance related)
to start new habits.

and i will need to squeeze my time really hard to do all these. (well....one by one....bit by bit at least)

I didn't try all these earlier because I thought i had plenty of time to do them later.
and becuase i was not a banker before.

but once you step into this industry.....
no matter which bank which department which team you join,
you will always learn one thing,

The most expensive thing you can ever buy is - Time.
The most luxurious thing you can ever do is - lie down on the sofa all day and do nothing.

and friends, if you have any kind of good stuff to do, don't keep it secret.

and, yuk, I'll go fishing with you after i finish the exam on 18th Nov.
man, I really should 對現 this "empty cheque" i opened long ago. Haha
really thx for your patience in inviting me.

唔休息......都要溫書..........
十一月中考試.........真係未溫過.........

Manager 話每日做完就可以走........
比咁多野我做緊係咁講......

不過我 supervisor 重慘......
我未做完佢都唔走得.........因為要approve我d野ma.....

希望聽日早放d......可以去維園游水......
有無人都鐘意游水? 維園十一月就唔開la.....要游就快手...haha....

唔經唔覺做左兩個月 operation.....
well............每日返工放工已經幾累..........
不過 back office 始終比較舒服.......起碼我九點一定有得放工.....

鄰team 的同事就慘d......十一點幾先走得.........

現在開始學做 warrants 的 redemption..............

um.....不熟finance的朋友仔.......可以當做借錢到期時.......咁當然要還錢.......
warrant 到期時的情況差不多......
不過可以還錢.....可以還貨..........
所以就需要人去 manually 處理.........
e.g. 比錢要比去邊個account..............send pay notice 比個客..............計下要比幾多錢...........要比貨時睇下有無貨比.......睇下要比咩貨幣.......etc

好多人問我opreation 即係做d 乜.........
我現在嘗試用一句話去解釋........

"做一些煩............但係唔難的tasks.........."

再簡單d講句...........
Operation 即是一個就業機會...........

重有.......想食飯唔該主動d........
