An Anthology of Poems

Love at first sight will never become true,
For looks share just part of the true beauty.
Yet the second glances when I see you,
Daze my mind from my typical duty.
Enough beauty to put the rose to shame,
You will never be unknown from the world.
Your astounding nature goes with your fame,
Because you are as rare as a black pearl.
As of your prominence compared to me,
I do not think I will yet be able.
To ever have me accompany thee,
So I shall stop trying the unable.
But as my last call to whom I adore,
I will be there for you forever more.
Friendship is present in all things but love,
Yet, my knowledge causes me to differ
I have seen love emerge from the above,
But fate it seems confines me from her.
This constant struggle drives my mind crazy,
For I shall never see my dearest one.
Save fate decides the right choice of lady,
Only with a lasting friendship begun.
So I digress to my current status,
Alone with friends who not yet realize.
That my life is lost w’thout friendship like this,
Thus I am forever grateful for these ties.
Hence, now I wait freely and truthfully,
For one I can answer to yours truly.
The course of true love never did run smooth,
For thy heart works at its own truthful pace.
Yet the pain and hurt will be hard to soothe,
Until there is one whom you will embrace.
But once the heart does find its one true mate,
Thy heart will not be sad forever more.
And thy choice until that one special date,
Is t'wait for the heart of whom thee adore
Yet temptation comes during the wait,
To drive thy true heart and pure mind crazy.
But the pausing phase will be up to fate,
And the result will be the most lovely.
So be mindful of thy first reaction,
For the latter might be true attraction.
*The path that waits serenely yet hidden,
Awaits the one true wanderer of kind.
For the one holder of the forbidden,
Will trod on to the path of the pure mind.
That unique person who knows the truth,
Can solve the most complex problems of all.
One who can come impart to all the youth
To answer the endless but the same call
How I long to walk that same superb path,
So I can at last find my one true self,
Avoiding the eternal dreadful wrath,
Of the hopelessness I find in myself.
This uneventful future is my task
To uncover this apocryphal mask
As twilight appears when the sun has set,
I fall asleep dreaming, thinking of you.
Dwelling on the causes of my regret,
Hoping that my wishes will turn up true.
Waking up still lost in your profoundness,
Living all moments for you alone.
Trying to find eternal happiness,
Realizing the effects that are shown.
The burdens found in my mind and body,
Even deep down into my heart and soul.
Show nothing of my true feelings to thee,
Not being able to forsake control.
The goal of struggling to stay content,
Yet knowing in the end I will relent.
As the sun peeks out from the raining mist,
I see before me the most precious sight.
More beauty and grace to ever exist,
The brightest star up in the sky tonight.
Often men reach to grasp the star up high,
For fame and glory knowing not the star
Who hopes to be understood by a guy
The perfect type like princes often are
Still up so high, my fond heart still does hope,
A giver of undying love and truth.
Without this star’s effect, I cannot cope
But toward you, I will never be uncouth.
I wake up hoping this dream would still last.
Yet you are this dream that is unsurpassed.
*Love sought is good, but when given is best,
As one seeks love, one falls under deep spells.
The purpose is to show how all are blessed,
For you deserve love more than how life tells.
I hope you understand that I always care,
When feeling down I will be there for you.
Your feelings and soul, I'm always aware,
Despite how I may act like I have no clue.
As friends I wish we could spill out our souls,
For a troubled heart to become serene.
My mind is what my heart always controls,
Hoping to treat you like a royal queen
Life does not always treat you properly,
But know that I love you undoubtedly.
As I look into the dark sparkling stream
I see the lone moon as I see myself
An empty air surrounds me like a dream
My mind still thinks about your perfect self
The bittersweet words that you spoke to me
When I asked you to return my true love
Tis a shattered heart that I bring to thee
Yet it mends to show, I can’t let go of
Immense pain that I am feeling right now
Does not compare to the wondrous passion
Of seeing the beauty you did allow
For I will never forget compassion
I wake up in a deep sweat with regret
That I feel the pain I wished to forget
Friendship will never be the goal of love,
For friends are always there but nothing more
Yet as your friend there’s nothing to wish of
Life is best cuz you’re the friend I adore
If times are troubling as harsh words are told
Know that I will be here to comfort you
If you are crying or sad, I will hold
You; until your grief and sorrow is through
A friend is one you can trust forever
Worrying not about what will occur
Forgetting the bond, no, I will never
Being with you is what I’ll always prefer
So as your good friend I will always care
You, my angel, nothing still will compare
“Life Worth Living”**
Along the path where the famous have walked,
A wish is now made to follow that trail.
Spoken with wisdom a sage has now talked,
As a hope is born to tell the best tale.
The hopes and wishes of the young today,
Show much of what our future is to be.
An idealist at heart keeps the world away,
While a realist in mind has the true key.
The strength of one man will not be enough,
Yet one idea can run a whole nation.
This task will forever have to be tough,
Still, there always is an aberration.
This idea of all lessons worth giving,
Is for one to have a life worth living.
The Truth of My Heart
With a single breath one encounters life,
Of all the living, there is none like you.
My mind sees you the one light of my life
As I think of when a dream comes true,
How one describes beauty I do not know,
A rose, the sunset, all seem to fall short.
Yet the beauty of your soul sure does show.
Filled with love and care, feeling of that sort
Ashamed beyond belief my love is lost,
In the deep sea of your inner beauty.
To me I do not know what it has cost
For romance is my one endless duty
The truth now shows the present hurt and pain
Yet my heart keeps the love and will sustain
I Hand my Heart to You
The cooling mist glides over the night sky,
Covering me as I see a true dream,
Of one whom makes nature exclaim “why o why!”
For the beauty in you is too supreme.
A feeling in my heart that will endure,
As you give your friendship and your kindness.
Traits of a goddess I see now for sure,
That provides all who you know happiness.
Moving like the wind, your soft hair does flow,
Dazzling all as one sees how it can pose.
Gleaming with beauty, your face does show,
Having no flaws unlike thorns on a rose.
These words flow from my hand only to you,
Who has captured my heart forever true.
A Sonnet on Valentines Day
If words are not ever expressed in love,
Then tis a very wasteful thing to speak.
For as the symbol of peace is the dove,
A poem shows feelings that are unique.
A breath of life has never been enough,
To sustain my heavy heart and sad soul.
Letting my feelings show, it is so tough,
Yet it is only you that makes me whole.
Although today is not the best of days,
For all in terms of how all hearts feel.
Love works in its own specific ways,
Your heart will mend as you will heal.
Anytime when there is love in the air,
I will always be here to always care.
Birthday...
As the world smiles on this glorious day,
A wish granted to the one special soul.
Who was born perfect as they would say,
Like all princesses fulfilling their role.
Center of true beauty, friendship, and grace,
Imbued with a forever caring heart.
Fifteen years gone now with much more to face,
Knowing not to set the future apart.
Friends come and go as you always do quote,
Love, too, has been important to mention.
On this day, I will not forget to note.
Nor regret to give a kind impression,
For this I say Happy Birthday to you,
An honor it is for me to so do.
Dreams
Dreamers often dream of a perfect life,
Yet perfection always seems hard to find.
When the prince does look for the perfect wife,
Only you reflect the soul of that kind.
For all life is touched by your caring heart,
As gentlemen wish to stand by your side.
An angel or you, none can tell apart,
Your shining beauty simply cannot hide.
It is my wish to stay a faithful friend,
Though tis hard to not fall under your spell.
Fate will cause me to love you in the end,
My heart contains the love I want to tell.
I gladly fall on my knees to ask you,
For a chance that my dream will come true.
Farewell**
As the stars shine at night to bring me hope,
It is not the time for my star to shine.
The sorrows in life make it hard to cope,
A time when past dreams could have been called mine.
For this dream to pass I will kindly wait,
Sill aware that the feelings remain there.
To the depths of my heart they will abate,
Until due time they will gladly prepare.
Love is not hard to understand for me,
Yet, patience and faith will pay in the end.
Only one who waits is true testimony,
Of a love so true none can comprehend,
So, this farewell I make with greatest pain,
Devotion still will be the greatest gain.
The Plea
Alone in the shadows of the black night,
You lie awake dreaming of the last fight.
Defeat never ending in your back mind,
Hoping to win although you are still blind.
The world doesn’t seem like such a bad place,
Yet without true faith is it such a rat race.
Since it has always been easy to stray,
This is why people still do turn away.
As people keep on loving hope remains,
Trust in the Lord helps one to sustain
The one
Sitting here alone thinking about you,
The only one who can quench this passion.
If only these dreams could ever come true,
Someone who could reply with compassion.
A time where this mystery could unfold,
Of the perfect person there just for me.
This wish to me is more precious than gold,
In special parts of my heart, can’t you see?
I am searching endlessly seeing all,
How I wonder at faces all around,
She is out there, the love that I could call.
Waiting for a time when she will be found.
These thoughts I dedicate to the unknown,
My feelings of true love having been shown.
Life after Love
An empty heart and soul are hard to bear,
With no feelings returned as they flow out.
There has to be someone out there to care,
Or forever I will stay here and pout.
The many friends of mine begin to leave,
And so I will soon be left all alone.
Imperfect friends might just be my pet peeve,
Yet, why is my heart still as hard as stone?
Am I the only one to feel this pain?
Why can’t I send all my worries away?
If I can’t change now I soon won’t be sane,
Hopefully my feelings for her will stay.
How finally my life is shown to thee,
So will you help me or just let me be?

Out of dark and nothing the earth was made,
Little was known about the perfect one.
A girl out of the mist never to fade,
So smart and kind never to be outdone.
Like an angel so innocent and sweet,
Lovely and well known shaming the red rose.
One who makes every person complete,
Yet so caring and humble; love she shows.
The perfect face and hair makes me wonder,
At the elegance and joy it contains.
Your smile and voice makes me buckle under,
Into a dream where love and hope remains.
How you have captured my heart forever,
Let this true love last through all endeavors.
A Test
So close to me yet still so far away,
Trapped in a box like something has gone wrong.
I wish we could have gotten out to play,
Hopefully you had fun and still stayed strong.
In this my love and faith for you has grown,
It could not be that I not think of you.
If anything I’m glad I’m not alone,
This test of my passion has remained true.
Missing your voice, smile, presence saddens me,
Please forgive me for not being there now,
To you a kind gentleman I must be,
Never to leave you this is what I vow.
A test I have surpassed without my dear,
Never again do I want this act draw near.
Praise!!!
Praise the Lord now for this wonderful day,
Rejoice in His name and thank Him for all.
Although I may have often gone astray,
Through Him I am able to still stand tall.
These past days I have become diminished,
As Satan tempts and clouds my life with pain.
This race of faith I will soon have finished,
For the Lord gives and all becomes my gain.
By encouraging faith and love in you,
My supplication has become answered.
I lift up much thanks that are overdue,
Since needs by me never are unanswered.
So these words of worship come from my heart,
Thus You and I will never be apart.
How pleased I am to be within your life,
As God bestows me with a true angel.
You light up my life like you play a fife,
The sweet words that come out as you do tell.
Today ranks as the best days I have had,
For your embrace filled me with love and joy.
This sets me apart from the common lad,
Like being with the famed Helen of Troy.
From the first moment of being with you,
My life has never been truly the same.
Until you I knew not of dreams come true,
Yet, now you stand here as a perfect dame.
Odd, it might seem how I express my love,
As you can see from what’s written above.
As I go to bed with you on my mind,
I look forward to the bliss that I receive.
While dreaming of you I can now unwind,
For your beauty and kind words do relieve.
Joy is a thing I have long forgotten,
Yet, it’s my new found thought being with you,
A new beginning I now have gotten,
The love I express will always be true.
Your sweet smile, pure face I constantly miss,
Torture it is, as I kindly do wait,
Still your perfect presence brings me to bliss,
It is a heavenly ecstatic state.
So I pray for you and me to both last,
And have our true love remain unsurpassed.
Benefits of Love
Although too many to express in words,
There is none like being in love with you.
As the term is often coined, two love birds,
Joy and perfection are among us two.
I see our relationship growing strong,
For I know we have an enduring love.
Like a tale of a romantic love song,
We soar together higher like a dove.
The energy I found seemed so unreal,
Yet from this love it really can be shown.
This everlasting bliss is what I feel,
An extension of your love that I’ve known.
So being in love is truly a quest,
A journey of those whom are dearly blessed.
Death
The burden of living lies within death,
As everything must come to an end.
Yet as I love you with every breath,
I truly know that our love will transcend.
In heaven I will lovingly gaze down,
Or look up and pray to you my true love.
For our passion and love will be renown,
When we are still together yet above.
No fear resides in me as death arrives,
After time, we will end up just the same.
Like Romeo and Juliet’s fond lives,
Love will surpass and joy we can soon claim.
Far away this grievous day it does come,
A couple of true love we will become.
Trust
At first, no doubt lived in my love for you,
Growing from the start of these seven days.
Never had I thought this dream would come true,
Yet, my faith was tested in many ways.
From strangers to friends to the best of all,
I declared my love and required a cause.
The hesitance I did show made me stall,
In my heart, needed not was this vile pause.
Now I can trust the fair soul within me,
For my love not only withstood but spread.
And as I view the dazzling eyes of thee,
My mind contains no single thought of dread.
A week it has been since the beginning,
Trusting now that there won’t be an ending.
The Beauty of Seasons
Every spring, summer, winter, and fall
There comes a time of the utmost beauty,
A symbol of beauty you are for all,
I come to care for you as my duty.
The best I hope for you and try to give,
Already you are perfect in my eyes.
So thoughtful and caring your life you live,
Still so smart and most of all you are wise.
As perfection is termed for nature’s view,
Nonetheless you still stand above all things.
Life is demanding yet you still pull through,
With you it is like flying without wings.
Therefore I hope that all of time we will,
Stay together and have true love fulfill.
From My Heart to You
A rose contains what one may call beauty,
Sunsets remain a sign of true romance.
Yet love cannot be shown this easily,
This kind of love that is defined in France.
I've come to know what one will call true love,
For you alone are always on my mind.
You emanate perfection like a dove,
Your grace and beauty is one of a kind.
With the past days of bliss that have gone by,
My love does hope for endless days to come.

An adventure with anything in store.

Seeing you as perfect among my peers.
The soft caress of your touch tickles me,
As I laugh and submit to your control.

A prince I must be as it is my role.

A Month
This special month that I have been with you,
Has truly been a unique gift from God.
Despite what we have both had to go through,
Distress is not a path we have not trod.
Each of these days I know my life has changed,
Being in your presence all of the time.
Because I love when our love is exchanged,
I show more of my feelings in a rhyme.
Through the kisses and notes that show our love,
And the time we have spent alone as one.
Time has shown the passion that all dream of,
Within us as we cannot be outdone.
As I fall in love with your each detail,
The love I have for you will never fail.
As I watch the sun set before my eyes,
I realize what my true feelings are.
For long gone are the dark cloudless skies,
To be replaced by twinkling stars afar.
My heart now knows what true devotion is,
Beating in rhythm when thinking of you.
Knowing that her presence is all of his,
He is without her so very deep blue.
This he is me, as he goes on to live,
A life of love only few wish to be.
Since all he has is now all he will give,
To be finally with a caring she.
So precious is this renewal of love,
That forever lasting it is thereof.
