1820

My SAT reasoning score!  I'm pretty proud since that's my first try.  Christa killed it with a 1960.  (Hope you don't mind me posting your score!)

Diamond in the Rough

Yesterday was my tennis banquet, signaling the official end to the tennis season.

Tu drove me there in his SUV along with Sammy and Josh Montymeyar (I have no idea if that is even close to his name) to Mountain Mike's Pizza.  Coach Gloria and the guys were there along with an epic amount of pizza.  I must have ate like 6 slices.  >.>  There was pepperoni, combo, veggie, and hawaiian, i believe.  I am not ashamed to say that I had all of the different kinds of pizza.

While we ate, we secretly all signed a can of tennis balls to give to coach.  After we were done eating, Coach handed out awards for Most Improved, Most Inspirational, etc.  I had the great honor to receive Diamond in the Rough.  I suppose that means I have a lot of potential.  I got a nifty dog tag that has my name on it, along with diamond in the rough.  The team has made this season great for me, even though I was stuck in exhibition for all of it.

I'll miss coach and the seniors next year.  We're gonna get some new guys on the team and a new coach.  It'll be interesting to see how things turn out.  Thanks for the memories, everybody! :D

How to forgive your parents

Parents affect a teenager's life the most.  At times you disagree, and at other times you can't believe how great they are.  The parent-child relationship is unique, which is a word that is thrown around all too often.  How many other people in your life can you scream at one day, and a few days later you can speak to again?  Not many people I know would take me back after I pointed out all the ways I hate them.

A parent's love is one of a kind because it is constant.  Even through the worst times, the two people who will always be there for you are mom and dad.  You can tell them you hate them a thousand times, shun them from your life, and cut off all communication, and they would still love you the same.  Parents never stop loving their children--kids just stop giving their parents the opportunity to love.

Many kids are estranged with their parents.  It might be both parties at fault, but neither is brave enough to face the awkward situation of reconciling.  However, parents are always willing to accept you back with wide open arms.  Sometimes we, including myself, take our parents' love for granted.

My parents have done things that have hurt me a lot.  It sticks around, because these are the people I've seen since day one.  It's a different kind of pain, not sharp, more like a low constant pain.  I'm not scarred or anything that bad, but it makes me angry sometimes, and at worse, I'm extremely bitter.  I used to not understand why my parents were so overbearing and protective, but now that I'm older, I understand why they did it: they loved me and didn't want me to get hurt.

Sometimes parents and their kids fight so bad that they have to separate from each other.  Weeks go by, then months, and then years with no communication.  But always, we have to remember that our parents still love us.  Wounds don't heal right away, but it's unreasonable to stay mad at somebody that will always love you.

That's how I released all the pent-up anger and bitterness inside of me.  I always remember that everything my parents do is motivated by how much they love me.  And I love them for that.

The tennis season's coming to an end, and I'm not going to be participating in the end of season tournament.  But, I do have some pictures from our trip to Folsom high.  It's hella pretty there!  They have a little pond (actually pretty damn big pind) next to their school.  I went up there and chilled for a bit.  It has a great view of the tennis courts.  I uploaded some pics onto picasaweb:

My dad also bought me a super sexy guitar!  omgz.  *goes to take pics of it*

*ahem* (that's my case, which is only slightly less sexy)

So anyways, he saw me playing Joseph's old classical guitar, and got pretty excited, so we went out on that Sunday and bought my Yamaha from Skip's Music.

From there, I've been teaching myself to play guitar slowly, learning bits and pieces of songs.  OMFG TODAY IT GOT TWO LITTLE SCUFFS ON THE BOTTOM SIDE.  *AGONY*

Christa can drive now, so we can go eatin' and stuff :D  I'm looking forward to spending a lot more quality time with her.  We plan to go out and eat and paint the town all kinds of red.  I made her a special driving CD to listen to while she's cruisin' in her Mazda.

I'm planning to hump my monitor in computer tech, because I pwn that class up so hard.  so. hard.

Cuz sitting here without a cent, I feel rich next to you.

This term's been so much more easy and relaxing.  We lost to Jesuit today, but that's to be expected.  I didn't get to play, probably better.  My wrist still hurts from Pleasant Grove.

I came home and snapped some pictures in my backyard to see what I could do with my camera.  :D  Here's the best one, still not satisfied with it though...
