| Been a long time since I've written in here. Iono sometimes you just get those fits where you want to write and all you have is your Xanga. First off I just wanna say....
Hell Yea White Sox!
Goin to the World Series!!!
wo0t w0ot! Yay for beating the Angels. Thanks to Konerko for those sweet Home Runs, Podsednik for all those steals, Garland for pitching a good game in game 4, & Tadahito for well...being the Japanese dude on the team with the sweet name. The White Sox are pretty much gonna win the World series cause they own. Anyways...
I really wish that I went to school in the city. Maybe I should not become a teacher and go into medicine, then I can go to school in the city. The city's where it's at. Being here makes me miss my friends back home. They're all still together because they pretty much all go to UIC and I bet they hardly ever think about me because I'm not even as close to them as I used to be. I remember practically living at the Resol house and hanging out with everyone every day or every weekend. That just doesn't happen anymore. I'm lucky if I see them once every 4 months. I just miss the bonds I used to have with certain people. I guess I had like a falling out with them and I don't even know why it happened. I don't really know what I'm talking about...I guess I just wish things were like they used to be. School here isn't so bad. But I see so many familiar faces it's like being back in high school and good ol VJA. Meh I guess that's better than being in a completely new environment and knowing no one. I'm starting to miss my filipino food hardcore. I can't wait till I get like an apartment or if my parents can actaully find a house to buy down here. I'm gonna be able to cook and eat rice everyday. Funny part is when I do go home, I don't really get to eat my favorite filipino foods because my mom is sometimes too busy to cook. Meh, oh well. I watch far too much TV now that I'm here. I have become completely addicted to Laguna Beach, Supernatural, Real World, One Tree Hill, (well that's not new) & Lost. We even have parties for them. College parties here are pretty lame. They usually get busted and you never get enough Jungle Juice when you want to because they always seem to run out. Sometimes they're fun I guess. "You spilled Jungle Juice on my shoe! Can you clean up my shoe?" haha good times at Cherry & Linden. Anyways now I think I'm just rambling. I'm gonna go. Till next time which is prolly in 3 months...
oh and one more thing I miss....
The bahamas. let's go back guys, yea?
| I miss my friends, the BSG/708 family. =\
It's decided...I need more of them in my life. =\
| Wow so I'm really slacking on this whole updating thing. I suck at life...I know. Anyways, so here I am at ISU in good old Bloomington Normal. I'm pretty stoked about being away. I've met some cool people. The girls on my floor are pretty cool and I spend most of my time with Melissa cause she's like super awesome. We're pretty much BFF. I'm also pretty bummed about being away from home. I miss my friends. Esp all the BSG's. Hi Guys! =P Come visit me! My roommate and I are getting along just fine. At first she was like way quiet and I thought she like hated me, but I guess she was just shy. She's opening up to me now so it's pretty dope. (I've been watching far too much Laguna Beach. I wish I was from Cali.) That would be so rad. Classes aren't so hard yet. I'm hoping they stay like that, but I doubt it. My com teacher is way hot. He can't be any older than 25. He prolly is, but he def. doesn't look like he is. Most of my other classes are way boring. I fell asleep yesterday during my 3 hour special education class. haha. I hate Tuesdays and Wednesdays cause they are my long days when I have class till like 8. Sucks. It's ok tho cause I only have one class tomorrow and I'm done at 1. Wo0t w0ot. So now I'm just rambling. I guess I'll go. Hey write me a letter yea? The address is in my profile. Come on! =) K bye I love you.\ | | |
| Warning: Loooots of pictures and it's the same as my myspace blog so if you already read that don't bother reading this...Wait, who am I kidding you're only here cause of the pictures. _________________________________________
So this last month of July has pretty much owned. First New York for the Barin Reunion then the Bahamas with the cousins for fun. I finally decided to stop being lazy and upload the pictures and make my vacation post cause you all know you've been dying to see them.
[7.14.05] Didn't even go to sleep cause what's the point our flight was at like 6 in the morning. We got to New York, went from LaGuardia airport to the Marriot hotel, but our bags in the room and then we were off to Corona Flushing Queens park for the Barin reunion picnic. It was so hot and I got mad tan lines from that day. There was like no shade and hardly any food to feed everyone. Because of poor planning by my cousin who was hosting this year's reunion we got kicked out of the park because apparently we didn't have enough permits to be there. Luckily before the cops and them came the Kuya Nick & I got a ride back to the hotel with Jonathan and his parents. Then we ended up just staying in Kuya Nick's hotel room and sleeping.

[7.15.05] My mom's friend who happens to live in New York picked us up early the next day to go around the city and explore. First we took the subway over to Ground Zero. It was so like somber there. All of New York is super busy, but it seems that when you get there nothing is moving. After Ground Zero we hit up South Seaport where we also saw the Brooklyn Bridge. After that we went over to Chinatown where I got myself some super sweet sunglasses and 2 new purses. =) We ate at the same restuarant that Bill Cosby and Conan O'Brein eats at. haha awesome. Then it was time to go back because the Barin reunion dinner dance was that night. First we stopped over at Tita Zonnete's boss' $2 million apartment. Talk about baller. This lady's son directs Sex and the City and Grey's Anatomy and her other son was deputiy mayor for Rudy Gulianni. Crazy. The dinner dance was alright. Gave out some useless awards to people we don't even know cause we're not even from New York. Took forever to serve dinner. Haha we left early and went back up to the hotel room. Hey it was boring what else is there to do?

[7.16.05] Tita Zonette picked us up and took us to Woodridge which is like the filipino community where we had us some good old fashioned filipino breakfast. Mmmm. Then we were on our way to see Fidler on the Roof on Broadway. It was a good show. That one dude who plays Robin Williams gay brother in Mrs. Doubtfire was the lead. "If I was a rich man ledaledaledaledaleeee..." Good stuff. After the show we went around Times Sqaure. There were sooo many people there it's crazy. Then Tita Zonette took us to a suburb of New York where we had dinner at her daughter's house. Then it was back to the hotel.

[7.17.05] The Barin's had mass at this huge church in the city called Saint Patrick's Cathedrel. It's so big. The mass got all messed up cause the people who were already don the bus from the hotel got there in time for the 9:00 mass so they stayed there and then left just as we were getting there cause we had our own ride there. Way to have poor planning. So we did our own thing after the mass we took a walk to Rockerfeller center, then went to the NBC tower. We took a picture on the "set" of Friends. haha We met up with the rest of the Barin's at East Resturaunt in a different chinatown. After lunch we headed down to Tita Zonette's boss' summer house in the upper countryside of New York.

[7.18.05] Finally time to go back to Chicago. I mean New York was cool and all, but it's got nothing on Chicago. It smells like a zoo there too. haha. I love you Chicago.
[7.23.05] Got my ass out of bed at 4:00 a.m. after 2 hours of sleep to head up to the airport for my 7:15 flight to Fort Lauderdale then to Nassau Bahamas. Woo! When we arrived we took a taxi to the Harborside Resort part of the Atlantis hotel where Ate Elsa & Kuya Ned have a time share. Man that hotel is sooo nice. So huge. After getting all settled in and a short nap Nick, Arnel, and I decided to go explore around the hotel. We then hit up the pool area and beach. Then we spent the rest of the day just chillin around the hotel. It's so cool there. Legal age there is only 18...I'm not even kidding I pretty much only drank water and alcohol and prolly 2 glasses of coke. haha. But it's sooooo expensive. $13 for chicken fingers and fries.

[7.24.05] We all woke up early to go to the beach and pool area. Nick and I went down the tube slide since we went down that 60 foot drop one yesterday while everyone else chilled at the pool. Then everyone headed over to the beach where we met up with Kuya Ned just as we were about to go parasailing. It was so cool. It's so nice and peaceful when you're up there. You can see everything and it's so quiet. It was so cool. After everyone had their turn parasailing we went back and hung out at the beach. Later on that night we just did some drinking and dancing up at Dragons the club/bar inside the casino.

[7.25.05] We slept in a little later than usual and had some breakfast. After a nice breakfast of spamwhiches we got a taxi and went to downtown Nassau for some shopping at the flea market type. After hour and a half we walked around Nassau some more before heading back to the hotel. Sammy and I went down to the Harborside pool while everyone else did their own thing. Sammy and I made friends with the lifegaurds that were on duty. Everyone at the hotel resort are so nice and friendly. He kept telling us that MJ and Kelz were his boys since he found out we were from Chicago. And we learned that you must "love yourself" haha. We all went back up to the room about 6 ish to get ready cause we were gonna have a nice dinner together. We ate at the Marketplace buffet. Sooo expensive. $50 a person, but there was so much food. Then we all went an explored The Dig which is like the hotel's own mini aquarium. Then back to Dragons for the night. haha. Thanks to Arnel, Nolan, Jing, & Jon for the drinks. I seriously think I only paid for 4 of my own drinks the whole time. Thanks guys for saving me money. =)

[7.26.05] The Fucking Booze Cruise. That shit was crazy. I think I got more drunk than I really was from the mixture of the alcohol, the sun, and the rocking of the boat. It was so crazy and funny. We were all so wasted. We all passed out when we got home...after we ate of course. haha. Woke up around 10 watched some TV then we headed over to the casino. Arnel, Jing & Jon gambled some money away while Nick, Nolan, & I went over to Dragons. Nolan and I spent most of the night making fun of the drunk mother fuckers making asses of themselves or dancing ourselves, but looking good doing it.

[7.27.05] Sadly it was time for us to go home. Nick & I woke up and went to the beach for the last time and took some pictures around the hotel. Our flight was at 3 and we didn't get back to Chicago till 9:00. It felt good to be home again.

Random pictures of the hotel resort.

| Why hello avid (you may or may not be avid, iono I just wanted to use it in a sentance.) xanga readers. Seems as though I have been neglecting my xanga. I guess I was thinking that my life has been boring and that I haven't had a lot on my mind. But we'll change that today. Since my last entry there have been many events that have taken place. First off, I finally made it out of high school. Being out of high school is kind of weird. I feel old, even though I'm only 18. It seems like only yesterday I was starting high school in a building that was undergoing construction and looked different everyday. Now before I even knew it I am a high school graduate. Feels weird to know that in about a month and a half I will be leaving home to move into a dorm with a girl I don't even know. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of scared. Scared of being away from home, scared that my roommate and I won't get along, I don't know, scared in general. I also had quite a rocking graduation party if I do say so myself. Made almost $1500 in gifts which went to my new super sweet laptop. Lots of people came. Mostly the ones that my mother invited, but thanks to the BSG, (with the exception of Lorenzo, Lim, Matt Law, and Rajan cause well, they don't live in the BSG,) folk for coming out to celebrate with me. Love you guys. Too bad most of them left like the next day for the P.I. but it's ok now cause Angelamalimala's back with tsnilinas for me and now I can go back to stalking her. =) After that came preview at ISU. I didn't really meet a lot of new people due to the fact that I spent most of the night with Lindsay, a girl from my school in her hotel room watching the MTV movie awards while her mom cruised around the Bloomington Wal*Mart. I did manage to make friends with this girl Melissa from New Lenox. She was pretty cool. I also met a couple kids at dinner when I was sitting all alone because unlike the other families that stayed to eat with their child, my family all left me and went back home. My roommate for the night was also a pretty cool chick. Her name was Jessica and she was from Frankfort. We stayed up for a little talking until I got really tired and fell asleep and she called one of her friends to talk. The next morning at breakfast I met Jessica's cousin and his best friend. I also registered for classes. It's so different from high school and I'm not so sure I like that. I like being guided, I'm a little baby like that. I was like 'ah I can't do this, I need my mom or one on one time with my advisor.' Then I realize I'm going to be going off to college and I just gotta suck it up and deal with it. Scary thought. This upcoming semester I will be taking COM 110, CHE 102, MAT 130, SED 101, and POL 106. If you're going to ISU, do we have any classes together? Eeeep! I'm going to college! As of now, my summer has been pretty much consumed by days spent at 8021 Suite A 183rd Street where I play with flowers from 9 in the morning till 6 in the evening and it's a bitch. Occasionally I do get my day or two off where I spend it either with Mikey or the Ate Nikki & Ramdawg. I have two vacations coming up in July to look forward to. They should be fun. I will be going to New York with my family for a family reunion. Then I will be going to the Bahamas with some cousins of mine. It should be a good time and I'll be getting time off in July which is much deserved in my opinion cause I've been working like a mother fucker lately, but that's the only way to become a baller. Well now that I've updated you on my life, I think this is where I end. I've written far too much... | | |
