Someone please answer my question. . . if you can. . .
Can someone please tell me what they think "real love" is. Like, get married kind of love. (Yes, I am quite aware that that statement sounded very childish, I just want everyone to know what I'm talking about)
The Bible says that love is patient, and kind. It says that it is never jealous and it does not boast. It is honest. Pure. Right? Put those things together and what have you got? Love. . . is it that simple though.
Because frankly, I think that same love should go toward your family members, best friend. . . rather ANY of your friends and that kind of love should be a gift that you give to anyone.
Now, since I believe that the kind of love the Bible describes goes for anyone, what makes it different when you are going to marry someone. I firmly believe that the person you marry should be your best friend. But, I know for a fact I love some of my best guy friends with all of my heart, but I could never marry them.
What is that extra "whatever it is" that makes that man/woman the one? Is it just love?
P.S. This is completely random and has nothing to do with my life. . . just a thought. . . |
