Well yet again I have not made it down to the house to take pictures of it. It is coming along quite nicely though. In fact the outside is almost done! Well, not almost, but almost. You know that type of almost. Anyways hopefully I'll have some time to get down there this week and take some pictures. Oh and the reason I didn't have time to do it last week was because I had a one day project (i.e. one week) for mum. I put up a transom that divides the living room from the kitchen and the dining room. Maybe I'll take some pictures of that as well. Oh, and Maybe I'll post some pictures of the last tournament. But you all have to realize that I have this very kewl word in here. That word would be 'maybe' It pretty much keeps me out of trouble. *grins*  So anyways I might post some pictures... Actually it all depends on yalls comments. See if I don't get comments I don't post pictures. Ha! take that!

Edit: Alright then... I got some pictures. =D

O_o It  looks like a house!

    There's the back side.

    Right front side veiw.

There's the design they put in their living area and kitchen oh and not to mention the color of the floor... (Clarke master of stating the obvious)

The famous leaf... It fell in when the slab was being poored. It's a pretty cool leaf. =D

That seems like a lot of windows for the front of that house.

And I thought I'd show you my one day *coughs* one week project.

    Thats before and....

Thats after. =D Cool huh? Or maybe it's not.

Ok, I figure I need to update sometime sooner or later, even if I don't have pictures of the house. See, I'm to lazy right now to go through the process of loading all of these new pictures on xanga. But, rest assured, I'll do it sometime. =D

Nothing really exciting has been happening of late. Last weekend we drove out to Canton to go to the big huge mother of all Trade days. =D So we drove an hour and a half to get there and we didn't even see it all! But I was fine with that. I had found what I wanted. A lamp! Ever since the light in my ceiling fan went out I've gone through a series of lamps. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, they keep... well, rebelling you could say. They just stop working. Anyways, I found a really awesome lamp. And I bet yall don't even know what makes it soo awesome. Well the awesomeness of the lamp is portrayed in it's pinkness. =D Yes it's a pink lamp. How many of yall have pink lamps? not very many is suspect. See thats what makes it cool. =D

Other than buying pink lamps, we've been trying to get back into chess. Happy days! We went to the regional tournament two weeks ago which was amazingly fun. I still managed, even after two years of not playing chess, to make it into the top 5.
This weekend we're going to Huston for the state tournament. wahoo! Wish me luck! =D

Edit: Tournament in Houston is done. Yay. I made 50'th place of 109. But, Allison and I won 2'nd place in the Bughouse tournament. Yay!! We would've won 1'st place but we got cheated out of our 3'rd game. I hate people that cheat. *shakes fist* at least they didn't get first.

Here we've got the zip wall done around the bottom. the floor joists are on and some of the second floor framing.

Finished the second floor framing. Wahoo!

Just a random shot of the second floor.

Almost got the second floor zip wall done.

I'm surprised someone hasn't killed themselves yet tripping over all the cords.

    First floor framing.

Come on guys! Surly the both of you are smarter than that one s crew!

Can someone spell SLACKERS? Lol. Just kidding.

    Wahoo! it's green! =D

  • I think I might have mentioned a few times that we were starting on Wesley's house. Well I've got a few pictures here to show you what we've done.

Haha. This picture was taken from the camera on my phone. (or lack there of

    Thats all four sides up.

It's a little hard to tell but we've got some interior walls up in there.

Why the heck is Randie pointing the ram set right at his face? I mean that just tempting fate there.

That is our wonderful supervisor Mr. Mayfield.

And that is my good friend Daniel. He's trying to look busy.

Well thats all for now folks. I'll try to update as soon as I get some new pictures.

  • Well. I figured it's well past time for me to update *coughs* I mean downdate.. I guess Thanks giving was the last holiday I briefly, very briefly told you about, so I guess that means that Christmas and New years are up next, Ha!
Where to start though? Most people would say "start at the beginning and go on till the end", But... since I'm not most people, I'm going to start at the end and Go till I reach the beginning. So there! Take that all of you "most peoples"!!!
    *sighs*

Today reality stoped by to see if I had his room ready... well I didn't so He's going to slowly move back in. Unless he decides to move in fast. (heaven forbid)  I got up around 8:30 this morning, earlier then usually. See I normally get up around 10 or 11 and do almost nothing all day. Then I'll go to bed around 12 or 1 am. But today I had to get up early and work. I cleaned the garage, and halfway installed a stove, then I went window washing. Sound exciting eh? Tomorrow I'm going to have to start homework for my online classes, Wahoo! That about wraps it up for this week.

I don't remember anything special about new years day. Oh wait I do! I woke up around 11 am left the house about 11:30 and sat in a big U-haul truck for  next 4 or 5 hours, Bleh. Sounds like a wonderful way to start the new year doesn't it?

Ok so we're down to Christmas day, (Wow that was fast!) and I have no clue what we did that day. So now your saying WHAT?!? Ok so maybe you aren't, but I said you were, so you were. Anyways, remember what I said about not remembering what happened on Christmas day? Well I was lying. Of Course I remember! We did what we Always do. Get up, search for our stockings, eat the candy thats in our stocking, and then just mess around for the rest of the day. Actually I had more fun this time. Mum got the three little boys more Nerf darts for their guns, so Wesley and I had an all out shooting match all morning.. In the house. It wasn't that much fun. But If I pretend it was then maybe I'll trick myself into thinking it was. So there! HA!

So now your not wondering what I'm "going" to be doing. But I'll tell you anyways. Wesley finally started on his house these past couple of weeks. The forms are up and the plumbing is done. Now we're just waiting for the foundation to be poured. Hopefully in the next couple of days. After thats done, the Mayfields are going to come and stay with us and do all the framing. Can anyone spell "really long party"? Ha! I wish. This is where I get to tell you about the bad news. All of this is happening right at the same time school is starting. So Now, not only do I have to keep up with school, I've got to work. To say the least "I'll be busy".

Anyways I hope I have shed some light upon my not so eventful life for you. Not that you wanted to know, but I thought I would let you know anyways.  Oh yes. One more thing. I was looking at my posts and the number of comments each post had received and the last three went something like this. 6 comments, 26 comments and 9 comments. So I went from 9 to 26 and then back down to 6? Woah! Normally I try to get just a couple more comments then the last post, but since the last post had such a pathetic amount of comments and the post before that had such a nice number of comments I'm going to have to shoot for somewhere in the middle. So that number would be 15. Come on guys and gals, I can't do this without yall's help.

    So let the Commenting begin!

    Clarke.

  • Yet another pointless weblog entry for all of us folks who don't have anything better to do with our time. Haha just kidding.

Life around Highland Point Academy has been fairly uneventful. I guess I should start at the last main event that was not discussed in the last down-date. I believe that main event would be Thanksgiving. We had an extremely different thanksgiving this year. Normally we have it at our house, But this year we had to drive 13 whole hours to Georgia! Yup this year we had Thanksgiving with the Jacobson's! That was boatloads of fun. We went Hiking, we played card games we ate food, we ate more food, we waited for food. Then when all of the fun was over... We had do drive back. 13 whole hours. And the scary thing was that I had to do some of the driving.

Well after Thanksgiving everything just gets boring again. But everything should be getting better soon because another Holiday is right around the corner.

Anyways this is probably one of the most pathetic down-dates ever! But whatever. This is for all of us folks who don't have anything better to do with our time, so yall shouldn't mind one bit.

  • Ok, well I think it's high time for me to up. Yeah I thought so. Anyway the only problem with me updating is, is that I never really update... It's more like a... downdate.

Nothing real interesting has been going on around here. Wesley finalized on the papers for his house which means that he can start building it. Which also means that there is going to be allot of work to do in the next 6 months.

We also had our yearly church retreat with all of our sister churches from around Texas. Now who didn't have fun at that? I certainly did. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about , it's a weekend where all of the CREC churches from Texas get together at a place called Piney Woods. There's volleyball, food, dancing, having fun, more food and best of all live music. Anyways it's a great place to fellowship with friends and in general waste a whole weekend doing absolutely nothing...Well nothing productive anyways .

Other than that, life as been, well to say the least, fairly boring. School has definitely been keeping me busy. I think I've been managing to stay out of trouble but you never know .

I can't wait till this movie comes out! It's going to be totally awesome!!!

Well thats about all the downdate I can do, So I'll talk to yall later.

P.S. I got 9 comments the post before last and only 8 comments on the last post. That basically means I'm not getting as many comments as I used to. So it's up to yall to make sure that I get at least 9 comments.

Here are some things I've made the past week.

I made this cup out a solid piece of maple for a pen holder on my desk. And if your going to have a pen holder you might as well have  nice pens to put in it.
So I went ahead and made some of those. The first pen is made from curly maple with a strip of Wendge through the middle. The second is made from a very light piece of Bagotie (I'm not sure if I spelled that right).

And while I had I'll my tools out I made a bottle stopper. The top piece of wood is Zebra Wood and the bottom of course is.....Cork.

One of my many boring Saturday evenings.

    Claaarke?..... Claarke?

I awoke from a previously undisturbed nap to  moms calls. I had, for some reason, woke with a feeling of fear. Not the type of fear that you have when a gun is held to your head but the fear of knowing that you forgot to study for a test that you have to take as soon as you get to school. I had no test that needed to be taken, in fact the only school I had to prepare for the upcoming week was a speech.

Mum looks into my room and tells me that I need to empty the dishwasher so that the little boys can clean off the table. Mother has this habit of telling you to do something just as your waking up. So by the time you’ve gotten out of the room you have no idea what your supposed to do. Fortunately this did not happen with me this time. I walked into the kitchen looked around to see what was for supper. The first thing that caught my eye was the mostly empty bottle of orange juice.  I grabbed a class from the cabinet and poured most of the remaining orange juice into it and started drinking.  It was then that I noticed what was for supper, mini baked egg thingys with spinach in them.  They brought back revolting thoughts of me trying to eat one earlier that year. Quickly deciding that I would not eat supper this evening I finished the rest of my orange juice and then opened the dishwasher to empty it.  Seeing that it hadn’t been washed I went and sat down for no reason.

I had not been sitting for more than five minutes when mum tells me I need to clean the kitchen.  Being slightly annoyed because it was not my kitchen night I went to go finish the rest of the orange juice. To my chagrin some little kid had already done so.  Cleaning the kitchen was for the most part uneventful, boring to be quite honest with you. The fan by the kitchen had just recently acquired a squeak that was almost annoying.

While cleaning the kitchen I received a challenge from Evan to play a game of chess. Having nothing better to do I accepted. What was originally going to be one game of chess turned into tow because he beat me the first time, so naturally I had to play him again to regain my honor. I did so by soundly beating him. I’m going to blame the loss of the first game on a phone call I received midway through the game. See I couldn’t devote all my attention to the game because I was talking to a friend so Evan had a particularly easy win.

After this I’m must go empty the cat litter, brush my teeth and go to bed.

    Random thoughts.

    My play list just ended.

Why do we have so many toads outside?

What good to mosquitoes do the environment?

I don’t really like Windows Vista anymore.

I wonder how many comments I’ll get. (Hint Hint) lol JK.

    Why am I posting this?

WOW I wrote 535 words in less than 20 minutes!!!
