Criminal Mind - Biology isn't everything

Sheesh.  People are doing Haley bashing (an activity I approve of) and are saying some ridiculous things.  That if Hotch found out that Jack wasn't his biological son, it would hurt for awhile if Haley ran off with her lover and took Jack with her, but it would save him a lot of pain for later.  First, I believe fanwank should come from somewhere.  It's not canon, but it should have some basis on the show.  Just because you don't like a character doesn't mean you should throw every bad trait and action at her.  One unanswered phone call that has never been brought up again is a pretty poor basis for speculating that she's been passing off Jack as Hotch's biological son.  And, I purposely didn't phrase it as "passing off another man's son as Hotch's" because it doesn't matter whose DNA Jack has.  He's Hotch's son.  I know some people are so concerned with biology and genes and say things like they wouldn't want to raise another man's child.  But, I don't see Hotch being like that.  Plus, it's not like Hotch would have found out before Jack was born or even a week later.  Hotch has bonded with Jack.  He loves Jack.  Most of the episodes of season 3 have Hotch trying to spend what time he can with Jack.  Not Haley, even.  He's Jack's father, in every way that matters.  Do people think that if he found out that he didn't help make Jack, he'd say, "well, if he was my son, I'd still feel bad, but now I don't.  It's so easy to turn off the feelings once you know the truth"?
