| | Criminal Minds - STUPID, STUPID, STUPIDSo, who knew that trying to not be stubborn or imply that my view of things is the only one could offend someone? In the Rossi thread, I was in a little sub-conversation with the person who sees posts that don't exist and back stories that were never written, and Miss "Reid's a precious baby who needs a papa" (although that's not what her post was about). Obviously, it wasn't a closed conversation, but we just happened to be the ones discussing it - about why Rossi came back to the BAU. I simply stated that it's not canon that he was asked to come back. Then I said that, of course, fan speculate and fill in the blanks based on numerous things (although, to me, there are no blanks to fill.) So, if someone looks at the show and interprets things to mean that Rossi was sent to spy on the team, I'm not going to tell them they can't think that. So, I said, speculate all you want (which opens up the whole "I don't have the authority to stop you" can of worms), just know that others aren't wrong if they disagree, because it's not canon. So, someone who wasn't even part of the conversation posts that she wasn't speculating. Uh, okay? Since that was her first post on the subject, I guess she wasn't. So, I said that I wasn't talking about her. I thought it was pretty clear who I was talking about/to, since my post was in direct response to another. And, then she tells me that she's going to keep discussing in the thread like everyone else. Good for you, sister. But, why tell me? I never told you or anyone else to stop, I don't have the power. Also, the post that got you all riled up clearly stated that I wasn't trying to stop anyone from speculating (even if they're speculating with wild-assed theories with no basis in anything on the show - which I didn't say). But, somewhere, I must have said, "you better stop posting in this thread" without even knowing it. Now, why can't I write a book without knowing it?
