But right now I'm empty In every way.

| Did you know... ...that your insurance company can arbitrarily quit paying for your prescription if they decide their doctor is smarter than yours?
(They can.)

| Wings of Gold and Silver I was late to church today so I gave up and went to the lake for my own
Jesus-time. I'm planning to study Luke 15 in preparation
for...something...so I decided I'd start there. My intent was to look
at the parable of the prodigal son which begins in verse 11, but I
never got that far. The first part of the chapter contains the parables
of the lost sheep and the lost coin, which I've read/heard since I was
prenatal, right? But God is good. I've always seen myself as part of
the 99 I guess, and really thought those sheep got shafted. But
really, I'm the one. We're all the one (He can do that, He's a big
God). His love is big enough to love us all as if we're his sole desire.
Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saves a wretch like me I once was lost And now I'm found Was blind but now I see
Psalm 56:8 is my go-to verse for comfort lately. After reading it tonight I went on to Psalm 57, and yeah...
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
It reminds me of a Stavesacre song
... Do I see God in all of this, maybe all along It's just that we're so small, and simply not as strong Strong like wings of silver, and feathers made of gold To carry heavy hearts, to cover all our helpless souls
To cover all of us
Under wings of Gold and Silver sometimes we have to hide For shelter from this bitter winter at least tonight ...

| Il pleut... I was a couple blocks away from home when the rain started getting heavy. I love those fat, heavy raindrops. By the time I was on my block, across the street from my building it was coming down in sheets. It was beautifully amazing, but I was a little worries about my phone and mp3 player so I figured I should get inside. The lights flickered and went out for a moment...probably not even a full minute, but have you ever been in the road when everything, including the streetlights go out? At this point the wind and rain were pushing me backwards so I had to get off my bike and run with it. The lights were back before I made it inside but I collected a few candles, just in case. I planned on going out to play a little more, sans electronics, but it started dying down and I decided to stay put.
I needed that ride.
