  • Well, its been a long day.  But first I will answer some questions.

What happened this last week?  Well I had a major allergic reaction to something.  I don't know what it was.  After many cortizone shots and many sleepless nights (like 5 straight nights) on the living room couch, I am doing great.  Bloodwork came back clear.  Nothing was wrong with me.

Next step is to go to a allergist.  They will run tests on me to see what I might be allergic to.

Steroids, I think, were a lifesaver for me.  But steroids make you REALLY hungry ALL THE TIME.  All I wanted to do was eat and eat and snack then eat.  So I stayed on the steroids for as little time as possible.

Today we slept in to 10am this morning then headed to Ihop for breakfast.  After Ihop we headed to the Dallas Zoo.  So here are some pictures from the Zoo.  It was nice at first with a good breeze.  And this Zoo is very well shaded.  But it got hot very quickly.

This sign makes sense when you realize its over 100 degrees here.

The one penguin in the pond.  It liked to swim near Jessica.

    Wrestling the crocs

    My sweet little butterfly!

This is how I cooled off.   Get your feet wet in the childrens area of the zoo.  Lots of water fountains and streams to get your feet wet.

    Then US!

After the Zoo we got an oil change, car wash, grocery shopping, then headed home.   We watched Batman Begins, then headed to the swimming pool.

So you can say that today was pretty busy and tiring for us.  Now tomorrow, who knows?
  • All Better Now

As I just said. Long week finally over. Rash and whatever is all gone. Work week is finally over. Time to relax! Jessica and I both need a nice relaxing weekend without any stress. So we started tonight with a movie.

This movie to worth seeing! Got the action with some great actors. The movie is long, so its worth the $9 a ticket. If you can, they say you should try to watch it in the IMax screens.

Watch Batman Begins before you watch it. I need to go rent it, watch it, then go see Dark Knight again.

Tomorrow? Don't know yet. We will update on tomorrow when it comes

  • Another Outbreak

Well, im a walking test monkey right now.  I dont know whats in me.  After the first cortizone shot, i was doing really well for almost 2 days.  Well the whole rash came back this weekend and 10x worse then before.

Here are some pictures of my deformities.  This picture was sunday morning.  By noon, my entire chest and back was covered in rash.

    My nasty swollen foot

Swollen fingers.  I think the palms of my hands are the worst thing to have a rash on.  They iche like crazy and they get really sensitive if I do anything with them.

Sunday, I went to a weeekend clinic and they gave me another cortizon shot and a bunch of steroid pills to hopefully suppress the reaction.  Well, that wore off today while I was at work.  I told my boss about it and he freaked out and went right then to buy my some benadryl.  I took some and about 20 min later the rash was gone.  It was freaky how fast I reacted to the pills.   Even the benadryl is working for very long because now 4 hours have gone by and some of the rash is coming back.

Jessica made another amazing fruit pie on Saturday.   She is taking good care of me.

Oh yea, and Jessicas Uncle Tony made us some fresh sausage that is SOOO GOOOD!

I still dont know what im allegic to.  Now the doctors are saying its probably NOT the nexium that I was taking.  So I dont know what to do.  Ill just keep on going and taking my pills.  Maybe someday in the near future I can go outside again.

  • You want to see photos?

Last week.  One of Jessicas friends from college came in town on their aniversary.  So we went out one night.
    Andrea and Jessica.

We had deserts together at our apartment after work then went out to the Stockyards that night and I made them all try a buffolos butt beer.  At the H3 Ranch the stools that you sit on are horse sadles.  We had a good laugh at that one.

Well this weekend we were back up to Tulsa.  Jessica had to see her dentist to have a few things fixed.  Her doctor is a very fun guy.  It was weird to actually see from this point of view and watch what a dentist does.

Friday was 4th of July so we went out to Grove Oklahoma where Jessicas Aunt Mary and Uncle Tony live out on a lake.  We had a blast just cruzin around and relaxing.  So here are a few pictures.

    Interesting picture.  Good faces

    Jessica and her cousin MaryJane

Jessica made a delicious fruit pizza for the 4th.

Like it,  But i should probably photoshop those fishing poles from between us.

    Sisters

    Awe

Scardy cat!  I dont know why she doesnt like the water.  But i made her get in with me.  I have to admit.  She did very well compared to the last time we were at a lake.

And we had to have some fun on the boat.

Driving to Grand lake with the crazy mom in law in the front

    With us in the back

This was at the Wedding on Saturday.  We had a good time at this wedding.

Ashley and Jessica at the Reception.  Ashley is a good friend of Jessica and I.

Jason Korner, the groom, had lived in J. Alvin all guys dorm for all 4 years.  So what else but to have a J. Alvin grooms cake.  It was funny to see.

Anybody who had lived in J. Alvin got together for a picture

Afterwards we went to the park where we got engaged.  This fountain was renovated and actually works.  Too bad it wasnt turned on when we were there.

So it has been a very busy weekend.  And again, we are glad to be home and get some rest before another busy week of work.  The next few weekends look quiet.  Im thankful for that.
