| www.Christianlandmark.comHello all,
I have not written on Xanga for a very long time, but I want to tell you all about something pretty neat. Earlier this years, Brother Sean McCallister and I began work on a website to publish religious articles, Q and A, video and audio sermons and such like. I think we are finally ready to push it into the public. It still has a little work to do but we plan to publish a new atricle every Wednesday and Sean will intermitintly post answers to questions. If anyone has a question there is a contact us feature. The question with and answer will be posted on the website, but it will be done anonymously. I hope that you will all make a point to read the articles each week and to tell your friends as well.

| We Love You Lynwood SmithI received some very hard news last night that the doctor do not expect Lynwood to ever be able to leave the hospital. I trust that things ar in the hands of God, but it doesn't look good. I know that I could never say all the things that I feel about Lynwood Smith and the good he has done in my life and for the Church, but I do just want to say that I love you very much brother Lynwood, and feel honored and blessed that I had the privilege of knowing you and hearing you preach. When I was a little boy, going the the New Years meeting in OKC I always thought of you as something more than just a normal person, like little children often do. I also though that the M at the beginning of M. Lynwood, stood for Mr. I was pretty scared of you for quite a while, until about a year ago... Although growing up I never heard a bad thing about you. My father always told me about how you came and visited him while he was in the hospital for such a long time in his younger wilder days. Your influence is one of the things that brought him back to the Church later, he always loved you and respected you very highly. When he died earlier this year you where the last person to talk to him when he was responsive. You were a great comfort to me as well, and the same when Uncle Jim was killed. You are without a doubt one of the finest preachers of the last century and I hate to think of a generation that might not get to hear you. Your songs and poems and sermons have touched us, they made us laugh until we got down in the floor and cry until our eyes were stained with tears. Your eloquence carried us back to the scene of old Bible stories as if they were happening right in front of us. Thank you for your stories, your sermons and your songs, some of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. God bless you my brother... Update: Brother Lynwood Smith passed from this world to be with God this morning.

| The Texas Trip: Allen and ArdmoreWell I'm in Texas, but it isn't all bad, I am staying with my dear cousin leslie barnes and her precious family. last night we went and heard ronny wade at fossil creek. as usual he did a great job. I spoke at Allen this morning, really enjoyed it. I will be in Texas all week and took forward to visiting all the brethren here. This coming weekend I will be in Ardmore, and I am looking very much forward to visiting and studying with Johnny and all my other dear Elmore friends.
This dog has a bruce roebuck expression on his face. Incidenctly, Bruce held an excellent meeting at the Jamesville congregation, he is undoubtedly one of my favorite preachers. HIs plain, simple, tell-it-like-it-is way of preaching is what the Church needs right now! (P.S. sorry that I always make you an animal Bruce) | | |
