| I hope everyone is enjoying Spring Break, or did enjoy it (past tense) or at least remembers it (drunk tense). I was in NH listening to my grandma tell embarassing stories about my mother, and then we bought my cousin Lauren a prom dress that makes her look uber hot. Unfortunately the best mall was 120 miles away, and I could have gone back to my dorm in the time it took us to get there. Crazy time in Victoria's Secret too......but I will spare you the sordid details. Also, I stuck cloves into a ham and picked bugs off of the poodle. It is kinda funny that those are parallel actions. Also my cousins and I sang "I've Been Workin' on the Railroad" while we washed the Easter Dinner dishes. I also ate Honey Bunches of Oats with Peaches. Now that is crazy sh**. I have so much work to do, but I also got lots of fun books from the library, so the Art History Essay will have to wait. Now, trying to work out next year's schedule. Fun times yo. ~DB | | |
| You know what I am sick of? Those New England boys who think they are so cool going out in the snow in shorts and sandals. Dude, it is cold, you don't have to prove anything. We all know it is cold, and you really can be comfortable and still prove you are a New England male. Just start saying "wicked" more, and drop all of your "r's" and you will be all set. Chicks dig that. But we really don't need to see your swollen feet turn blue while waiting for the bus. Really. | | |
| So do you want to hear something rather stupid? Well the O'Connell house is right near my dorm. In the O'Connell house is the office of the First Year Experience (it is also a convenient place to rent movies and do laundry at 1 AM) anyway, I had to run to the FYE office to pick up something from my retreat, and even though it was only 20 bloody degrees out (I know, all of you McGill people, 20 degrees is swimsuit weather, but I am only in the SOUTHERN portion of New England after all) so I had to run in, and of course, it was only two steps really, so there was ABSOLUTELY no need for me to wear a coat. Unfortunately, upon returning to my dorm, I started to cough and hack up unpleasant things, and I have not been able to stop, for 48 hours. I will buy out the Bookstore's supply of Robitussin. The funniest part being when I told my mom, and I heard my mom tell my dad, and my dad's first words were, "Don't tell me she wasn't wearing a coat!" Brilliant chap pater meus. No wonder he did that whole stint at MIT. Home in T-minus three days. Last exam Saturday at nine. I want to start packing now, but it is a wee bit early, and I have a fever. I will watch Bridget Jone's Diary again and eat pretzels instead. Wooo. I cannot wait for Christmas :) :) :) :) :) | | |
| Hehe. It has been a long time since I used xanga. I have 4 more exams left, and unfortunately the easy ones come first so by the time Saturday roles around, I will be a quivering mass of jello for my killer Latin final. Woo!!! I get home late the 19th. Thank goodness. I have not been home yet, and I am rather excited at the prospect. Katie M. and I are taking a train. Eight hours, but we will have our laptops and some DVDs. SO excited. Just need to get through these next six days. I saw my cousin Julia from BU on Saturday night. It is so great, all the weird people talk to her. All the time. The diabetes awareness campaigner snagged her, as did the very strange lady who walked up to us in the Boylston movie theatre and said,"My mother died. She was hit by a car, waiting in the parking lot, and now my sister wants her money." Yeah that is my charismatic cousin Julia. I finally got a chance to see the North End, and to eat at Mike's Pastry Shop. Such good stuff. It smells great in there. BC is giving away free coffee during exam week. Now if you ask me, that is dangerous. I mean it. I can fall of the Caffeine-Addict's Anonymous bandwagon at any second. Extremely dangerous I tell you. Now I am walled up in my room (roomie left this afternoon for Colorado and then Singapore) and I have 7 boxes of cereal, and three bottles of milk, so I will not leave this room for the rest of the week except for exams. Fun times. Studystudystudystudystudystudystudy. Happy Holidays everyone! ~DB | | |
| My parents arrive tomorrow afternoon. SHHEEEEEEEEEETTTT I need to vacuum. My mother is gonna chew me out. I shall be the ungrateful pig daughter who does not respect her good fortune by cleaning her extremely expensive domicile at this high-class establishment of higher education. Ahh well. I have a math exam. I need to study very badly. Later. | | |
