Yes, it was a rainy day with dark clouds looming over our heads. And no, i was not wearing appropriate attire. Thanks to a little flaw i call laziness, I headed out the door with flip flops, or as i call them flippers. These flippers, were almost the death of me. Two steps from my home, and body decided that walking down the steps would take too long. The next thing i know i was at the botttom of the stairs, with only one flipper on and my left leg bent out. Sure, i made down the stairs. But shit, did it hurt. I knew there would be bruises, possibly bleeding as my sister picked me up off my sorry ass. I think the worst part was getting yelled at by a stranger, a pedestrian on the sidewalk. She tried to give me a twisted ankle as a hobbled around, trying to "walk it off". I knew i shouldnt have worn flippers, they are of course enemies with my friend the rain. I have had to walk home barefoot before when it started to rain. I also tend to trip over my feet with these flippers on. Yea, so i was limping and biting my bottom lip in attempt to keep back the tears of pain. The lady is still standing there. What she hoped to accomplish, i still dont know. I cant remember most of what she said, mainly because I was giving my sister the death glare, wishing, praying she would shoo away this pest. I just about telled, "get her away!". Remember, i was in pain still. She finally left, and i was grateful but not before condenming my favorite footwear as devils that would "bust my ass". I couldnt believe she was insulting them. Despite the fact they were the reason my butt hit every single step to reach the bottom of the stairs and was now numb, my flippers are and will always be my summer. That was it, i climbed the stairs and got back inside to investigate my wounds and get some real shoes on.

I walked inside barefoot, embarrassed and in pain and all my other troll could say was..."are the stairs ok?" I couldnt hold it in anymore. I just sighed and had a great laughing attack on my way to my room.

Advice to all: Keep flippers and rain away from each other at all times. Those two spell trouble.
