ANYWAYS, this weekend was AWESOME. Thank you all for your help. As I was standing at Starbucks, rebuking the barista about how chai-tea lattes are not "Indian" or "Asian" or "oriental," I noticed that the boy had seen Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and was surprised at how good it was... So instead of pouring the hot chai-tea latte on him, I gave him a big manly hug and thanked for his support.

So besides smokin' some herbs this weekend, I caught up with my buddy (super White) the writer of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle *drum roll* ... Jon Hurwitz. Now, that's a nice Jewish boy you want to bring home to and introdue him to your aunties.

Dear Friends,

As you may or may not know, my movie "HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE" opened this past weekend. Due to the intense competition, as
well as a lack of awareness about the movie in many parts of the country, we were a little bit disappointed by our box office numbers.

However, the exit polls the studio received for the weekend were tremendous. The Internet word-of-mouth on the movie has been through the roof. Our reviews were incredible! (check out www.rottentomatoes.com and look up "Harold and Kumar"). And the movie only dropped 3% at the box office from Saturday into Sunday -- an unheard of figure. Usually movies drop 30% or more from Saturday to Sunday. Why did "Harold & Kumar" outperform so much on Sunday?

BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO SEE "HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE" LOVE "HAROLD & KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE."

The movie had such a strong Sunday because of people like you -- people who supported the movie by seeing it this weekend or by telling others how much they loved it.

In order for the movie to be the success we'd all like, Newline needs to see that Sunday's trend was very, very real. That means, we need to have people show up at the box office this week (PARTICULARLY TODAY).

We need to prove that America wants to see our little movie starring two Asian American leads.

So, if you haven't seen the movie yet, I urge you to please see the movie ASAP -- like today. YOU WILL LAUGH. TRUST ME.

If you've seen the movie and plan to see it again, I urge you to see it again sooner rather than later.

And finally, please continue to spread the "Harold and Kumar" love to anyone you know who happens to enjoy laughing. I have a feeling most of you know a few people who enjoy that sensation, so why not encourage them to have an hour and a half of laughter tonight? They will thank you/hug you for it.

Thanks again to all of you who have supported the film. I truly appreciate it.

Congratulations on the movie. Despite the box office numbers, I think a lot of people will go see this movie. Almost everyone I talked to thought it was pretty funny! Especially your character (or you, if this is supposed to be a xanga of your character).

Out of curiosity, inquiring minds want to know. Did you really trim your pubes for the movie? Hahaha! J/k.

i'm doing my damnedest for you guys, because really, any effort i make is for my own benefit in the end, being an asian american male afterall. i've personally seen it twice (over the weekend, sorry, i heard that sunday didn't count...but i guess in a way it did). and yeah, i thought it was just my theater, but saturday night's show was only about a third full. sunday was packed. must have been word of mouth. you guys rock! when are h and k going to amsterdamn already? don't let anyone but the jewish kids write it, okay? tell them thanks!

Tell me how in the hell that guy (william) got famous...He's a dork! Why can't I do that.... oh yea...wait...I forgot...I have a lil dignity left inside this shell of a bod.

So I've heard the movie is pretty hilarious...I have yet to see it..I will I will. But just curious.... what else is happenin' in your world? If yu are the real and true Kumar.... then you're life has to be pretty exciting....right? What about the parties at the Playboy mansion and stuff?

Been a HUGE supporter since i saw you in American Desi - the rest of the cast was pretty average, apart from you; stand out perfomance son, stole the show.

Van Wilder - I saw it, and CRINGED when i heard you do the indian accent....gawd, how cheesy.

Then Harold and Kumar - BEST.STONER-COMEDY.OF.OUR.GENERATION.

I'm preaching the joy that is H&K to everyone i know. I even tell random people on the bus to go see the flick.

Hurry up and get your asses to the set! I NEED TO SEE H&K GO TO AMSTERDAM

I LOVE YOU KUMAR!!! YOU'RE FUCKING HILARIOUS!!! OMg... U made the movie soar.. It would've tanked otherwise.. LOL "Just cause im hung like a moose, doesn't mean I gotta do porn.." I think that was the line LOLOLOLOL I hope you go on to become hella famous. BTW, my dream is to become as a doctor as u were in the movie.. perhaps smday..
