So I thought it was time for an xanga update for all my xanga friends, which I must say outnumber my facebook friends greatly, but facebook is better(in my opinion) and has consumed my designated updating time...I am sorry

Anywho, I just wanted to write something to let everyone know that I still am alive and doing well.....

Okay....perhaps I will be able to give a more in depth update later on, but for now I must go, I have a lot of homework this week! GOD BLESS everyone and please don't forget to SMILE...you never know whos day you will touch with a smile!

How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was wonderful! Not just yesterday, but the whole season this year was filled with joy for me! perhaps it was because of my utmost intent to make it that way and not get consumed by the world's "Christmas Spirit". Yet, I also didn't let the business of Christmas get me down because that also would have been letting the world influence my Christmas joy! Nope, I made my own definition of what Christmas was and meant to me and that is what I stuck with! and, Christmas was wonderful!

I receieved two new devotional books "Girl Talk with God" and "A Young Woman's Call to Prayer"! This year I plan on working on my prayer life, can ya tell? hehe! I also bought all my own gifts this year for everyone in my family and now I truly understand the joy of giving! I bought each one to fit their personality and they all loved them! I made a calendar on publisher for my parents, and they too enjoyed that! My sister was the most excited about her gift though which made me very happy!!! I spent quite a bit of time surfing ebay for the perfect present for her. Jake wrote me a beautiful song! Which was a wonderful gift given from the heart (No, it did not talk about grapefruit for anyone of you who might be tempted to ask *cough* Josh and Laura, hmmmm, what, I didn't hear anything)

I leave tomorrow for Texas and Arizona! Please, pray for safe travel! And, please leave comments, xanga comments, emails, and wall posts! I will be very happy to hear from everyone when I have internet at a campground and will write back! I'll keep you posted on everything that happens on the trip! God BLESS and SMILE!!

The following is a poem written by Judge
Roy Moore from Alabama.  Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying
the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer.  He has been stripped of his
judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in
Alabama.  The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

                                 America the Beautiful,
                                 or so you used to be.
                                 Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
                                 I'm glad they'll never see.

                                 Babies piled in dumpsters,
                                 Abortion on demand,
                                 Oh, sweet land of liberty;
                                 your house is on the sand.

                                 Our children wander aimlessly
                                 poisoned by cocaine,
                                 Choosing to indulge their lusts,
                                 when God has said abstain.

                                 From sea to shining sea,
                                 our Nation turns away
                                 From the teaching of God's love
                                 and a need to always pray.

                                 We've kept God in our temples,
                                 how callous we have grown.
                                 When earth is but His footstool,
                                 and Heaven is His throne.

                                 We've voted in a government
                                 that's rotting at the core,
                                 Appointing Godless Judges
                                 who throw reason out the door,

                                 Too soft to place a killer
                                 in a well deserved tomb,
                                 But brave enough to kill a baby
                                 before he leaves the womb.

                                 You think that God's not angry,
                                 that our land's a moral slum?
                                 How much longer will He wait
                                before His judgment comes?

                                 How are we to face our God,
                                 from Whom we cannot hide?
                                 What then is left for us to do,
                                 but stem this evil tide?

                                 If we who are His children,
                                 will humbly turn and pray;
                                 Seek His holy face
                                 and mend our evil way:

                                 Then God will hear from Heaven
                                 and forgive us of our sins,
                                 He'll heal our sickly land
                                 and those who live within.

                                 But, America the Beautiful,
                                 if you don't - then you will see,
                                 A sad but Holy God
                                 withdraw His hand from Thee.

                                 ~Judge Roy Moore
