| First 40 mile bike ride. Curvy steep road. Two oversized trucks. Left hand turn. Two oversized trucks going way over the speed limit. First truck saw me, Second truck saw me at the last second. I swerved right, he swerved left. I almost fell off the road, he almost hit the road sign. Screeching tires. Almost hit. Close call. Some Gardian Angel action. Still breathing. | | |
| what a beautiful day for a bike ride. what a beautiful day for a bike ride with a great friend. | | |
| death is so mysterious, so feared, so guarenteed, so final. How much of that realization changes my every day existance? How much of that realization draws me closer to the one who stands outside of time, who holds the keys of death in his hands? How much does it change my perspective on what is important in life? Oh God...help my girls who are grieving right now. my heart is both aching and celebrating... | | |
| I was going to
remark at what a long time it was since I wrote on my xanga last, but
then I realized that one could easily notice how my last entry was
Christmas of last year. hah.
hmm. what would be benifical for you to read at this moment...an update
on life? a lame joke? a description of food that I am craving? lyrics?
the weather? a Christian piece of gossip enveloped inside the title "prayer request"?
hmm.
...A lot has been happening in my life and even more has the possiblity
of taking place in the mere future. Honestly, there is more uncertainty
in my life as of this moment that I can ever remember being there
before.
Yet instead of focusing on all the uncertainty...what might...what could...what if...
I am learning how faith can only exist with uncertainty.
I am learing that faith through uncertainty brings about hope.
I am learning that in order to stay sane, to stay focused, to fully understand my purpose...I need to focus on what I am certain of.
ha. I am not certain of tomorrow, or anything connected with tomorrow...but I am certain that there are three things are
unchanging. "There are three things that will endure - faith, hope, and
love - and the greatest of these is love" (1 Cor. 13:13).
...If uncertainity brings about faith and hope toward the Being that
showed the greatest form of love to me...than I want to focus on that
certainty.
That greatest form of love was ultimatly when God
sent his son to take upon him all my uncertainty, all my stupid
mistakes, and sin, and give me salvation from all of that. He did that so I might have certainty in a world of uncertainty; reunited with the Being whos very essense is certainty.
...that is where I want to focus on...that is what I want to become.
...that is what can be benifical to you if you take it to heart.
