| {nothing of serious importance}I've been avoiding homework. Who doesn't? My first Ad Vivum show is Wednesday. It's also Kendra's birthday. I got her a schweet! Barlowgirl drumhead, signed by the Barlow Girls themselves. She liked it. That made my day.
Last night, I learned about God cake. Lets just say a pathetic afternoon/evening of me being overwhelmed, tired, and stressed led to tears and frustrations. Money issues abound like I've never known them. School work has lost its novelty. So when I needed someone to listen, my friend was there. He told me about 1 Kings 19:4-8 where Elijah was so tired of running from Jezabel that he fell asleep in the desert. God make him a cake (of bread but actual cake sounded so much better than bread last night), and told him to eat, then go back to sleep. A while later, God woke Elijah up again, told him to eat, "for the journey is too much for you," God said. After that Elijah was strengthened by the food and continued on his way. My friend acted like my cake last night. My God-cake. God made me cake last night and that made me smile.

| {for lack of...}I find myself typing this with a loss of what to say. There are four things that came to mind when I started typing. 1) A small cockroach was in my bath pouffee yesterday. I bought a new one. 2) I got a new toothbrush. 3) I decided that after Moody (sometime) I'm going to grad school to get my Masters of Fine Arts in Acting. 4) Spring play auditions for Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost are on October 3rd.
Other than that... there really isn't a whole lot going on.

| Ad Vivum-To the Life-part deuxI did make it into Ad Vivum. Our first gig is in front of thousands of youth pastors and youth leaders-the National Youth Conference. So extremely excited. Onto the post...
I have been reading through bits and pieces of peoples past xanga posts over the summer. I am struck by the eloquence and witty language that is used. Sometimes I wonder if God really wants me to write. Yes I like doing but as a vocation? It's one thing to have many friends say you're really good. But It is a completely different bucket of screws when I want to write for a living.
I am here at Moody, excited about every single one of my classes (Systematic Theology, Drama in Ministry, Psychology, Christian Missions and Genesis). With the desire to write intelligently, wittily, and profoundly, I began pray for God's calling on my life, and I begin my homework for the upcoming week.
A Bientôt.
