I have now been working in my regular store now for three shifts. I am getting use to everything and how they do their paperwork. I will be running my own shifts in a few weeks.

I have the next few Sundays off too so Stacey and I will be looking at churches. This is one major thing we need to do. I know we will both feel better when we have a church chosen for our day.

I'm back for a moment

It has been awhile since I have posted a blog. It is now November. Yesterday was Halloween and the last day of October. I cannot believe that the year is almost over. I will have to start Christmas shopping soon. I have no clue what to get for my family or to even get my future extended family. Hopefully ideas will fall from the sky along with a bunch of money. I need to start playing the lottery. As the advertisements state "you can't win if you don't play."

I have one last day of management training. The last two months have flown by. I will miss the people I have been working with. It is scary having to go to the store I will be a manager at since I don't know anybody. I have done this numerous times in my life. It is never an easy thing to do especially the older I get. A part of me would love to stay where I am. The only thing I hate about it is the 45 to 50 minute drive from my house. My mind is very active at the moment. It is probably nerves. I only got about 3 and a half hours sleep last night. I didn't get off of work until after 3 a.m. and I didn't get home until 4 a.m. I had to get up this morning at 8 a.m. I had to drive to Cranston, RI to take my last management exam. I got a 90 percent on it which I was happy about.

After my exam, I drove to my parents house to pick up some of my mail that is still being delivered there. I also took a two hour nap which I so needed. After my nap, I went to Home Depot for some caution tape. I also bought a sledge hammer. I needed the caution tape to rope off the area where I pulled up this wooden fence last week. There are deep trenches where the fence was. There is still one long piece of wood in the ground which is where the sledge hammer will come into play. Hopefully I will have time to take care of the piece of wood over the weekend. I also want to put a lock on something which I have been wanting to do for over a week.

After Home Depot, I stopped at Petco for fish rocks. I needed them to clean my fish bowl I left at my parents when I moved out. I could bring it home with me, but I don't want to chance losing him and I don't think Nemo will get along with the cats, Pugsley and Wednesday. The goldfish got its name because I got him at Media Play when Finding Nemo was released on DVD back in November 2003. The fish is only days away from being four.

This evening I spent the evening catching up on some phone calls and watching some shows on the DVR. In the last week, I have accumulated a lot. The house wasn't visited by any trick or treaters tonight. Stacey and I live on a busy road. For the last couple of Halloweens I have given out candy at my parents house. I have always enjoyed seeing what the kid's costumes are. Sometime in the future I can see myself taking my own kids out on Halloween night.

The first day of the training course went well. I was tired today. Once the course was over at 5 p.m., I went back to my hotel room and ate the rest of my leftover pizza and cinnamon sticks from last night. I also fell asleep for a couple hours. I was tired today. I think the medicine for my lyme disease is affecting me too. I forgot to mention that in yesterdays post that I contracted lyme disease. I got bit my the tick when I was mowing my parents lawn. It is ironic that I would get bit doing their lawn when my lawn is the one which borders the woods. Thankfully I got the rash and Stacey knew what it was since it boss has it. Not everyone that gets lyme disease gets a rash. I got my homework done for the class after I woke up this evening. I am thinking about going to the Warwick mall after class tomorrow and seeing a movie at the Showcase cinemas in the mall.

It has been awhile since my last post. A couple of months to be exact. A lot of things have happened in that time.

One of the things that happened is the reason I haven't posted in awhile. I will explain that a little bit laterThe first bit of news is that I proposed to Stacey on August 4 before our trip to Atlanta. She was very surprised. She said, "Yes." The big date is Sept. 20, 2008. So far we have chosen the photographer and the banquet facility. She has got her dress already too. Plans are progressing which I'm glad about.

At the moment, I am in Rhode Island for a training course. This course is for my new job as an assistant manager at Burger King. I have left the Journal Inquirer for a job that has better advancement oppurtunities and more money. I am getting my days off and there are quite a few evenings where I am home at night so I can spend some decent time with Stacey. And this free time helps in the wedding planning. I am sad to be away from Stacey even for a few days. I am going through a list of songs for the dance I will be doing with my mom at the wedding. Stacey has chosen the song she will be dancing to with her father. We are still discussing our first song to dance to. There are a few more songs we have to choose. She has to pick one for the dance with my father and vice versa for me when I dance with her mother.

One of the reasons I haven't posted much is because I don't want what I write to affect my job. People have lost their jobs for what they have posted online. I don't want to be one of them. I am enjoying my job so I want to keep it. I may not post regularly anymore, but when I do I won't write about my job.

I got a call from my boss this morning. He said I had to come in to do my two routes. I was planning on going in anyways. I found out that a route list I wanted bundle topped for Saturday never got done. This was the second time this happened in two weeks. It pissed me off. I had to go to Target after I got out of work for a phone car charger. I accidently closed the door on my old one. I wasn't too happy that I broke mine.

I went to see Ratatouille at the Crown theatre in Hartford. It was a cute movie. I enjoyed it. I love Pixar. This movie is up there with their past movies.

Stacey and I went to see Transformers at the Crown theatre tonight. We loved the movie. The action started real quick. The movie is funny and has a lot of action. It was great hearing Peter Cullen do the voice of Optimus Prime again. Hearing the transforming sound effects brings back memories of the cartoon. It is the best movie of the summer so far. It is up there with Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End.
