7 days until Christmas. I can't wait for the madness to be over! I have to admit come mid-Feb when Christmas, Refund Week, and Inventory are all done, I'll be pretty bored, but for now I can't wait for that time to come.

So I picked a rough time to try to come back to the xanga world. It's Christmas in Toyland and not only did the store hours extend but so did mine.

Sidenote: I was actually supposed to be at work 40 minutes ago, but the bus didn't show up for an hour today so now I have to wait for a someone to be available to come get me...it really sucks.

Back to the point, there is less than 12 full days until the day after Thanksgiving. Oddly enough it's kind of downhill after that. I'm kind of excited. It's been slightly trying since I can count on my hand the number of people that have worked with toys at Christmas time on one hand. And probably would not even pass two hands if I counted the people who had worked retail at all. Every day is a coaching opportunity for every associate in the building. I have to say my leadership and team building skills should be phenomenal when I get past this Christmas...if I make it out alive. Ha ha.

It's hard being one of Santa's elves. But the fun stories of crazy people are starting to roll in already.
