ohh fun

615 days.
i've had this xanga.
i have no life,
but atleast i'll admit it.
&&
by the way
xanga is completely pointless.
shut up.

myspace

has definetly

taken over xanga.

I've got a new outlook on life.

So, I'm back from Mexico, have been since Saturday. I am sunburned like no other. It's pretty much disgusting. My arms are blistering and my neck is blistered, it's horrible. Anyways, back to Mexico. It was really fun, I mean it was definetly a life changing experience. So, here's what happened.
Sunday- I went to the Church at like 6ish, and we didn't really have a service so we just kind of hung out. We later went to Taco Bell to eat dinner. Then came back to the church, worked on skits and puppets and what not. Then at about 12ish some people went to bed, (me and a few others).
Monday-
Woke up extremely early, like 5:30 I think. Which is an obscene hour to wake up at, in my opinion. We all got ready, ate breakfast and were on the road by 7 AM.  By the way, on the road for a twelve hour drive. Not fun. I guess I rode in the people-mover for like five or six hours then moved to the van, which was much more comfortable because I was actually able to sleep. Then we ate lunch and dinner out. We got to Edinburg, TX at about 8 PM. We had no showers that night, and the restrooms were outside, yeah just imagine that. We had nothing but concrete floors and three air mattresses to sleep on. I was lucky enough to get to share an air mattress. So, it wasn't too horrible. So, then we had our Devo and then  we all eventually went to sleep at about 10 or later.
Tuesday- Uhm, let's see, we woke up at about 6:30 AM, got ready as fast as possible.  I don't really remember if we ate, lol. But yeah, I rode in the EL Van-O for about one hour then we got to the El Border, then we drove for about five or six more hours to get to Iturbide, Mexico. Definetly not what I was expecting to see, such a poverty strucken community. It make me want to cry just looking at how the people had to live. There was probably, maybe a hundred people living in Iturbide, it was just really sad and upsetting. It makes you thankful, thankful for what you have and you learn to not take advantage of what you have. Anyways, we got there at 1 or 2. We unpacked, got settled and just hung out. Then, at like seven pm, we went to the Plaza to hang out with the people from the town.  It was kind of like a Fiesta, I guess. But, anyways then we came back and we all took our showers. Us girls, had our own devo in our bedroom. Then we just hung out for a little while, then went to el bed-o.
Wednesday- We woke up at either six or seven? I don't remember. We ate breakfast, had our Devo, then man we got straight to work. We had a huge dirt pile to move. I'd say it was probably seven feet tall and like four or five feet wide. But, yeah we moved it, with shovels. How amazing, huh? It wasn't that bad until later on after we had been doing it for like three hours. Then at about noon we got to eat lunch, it was good. All the food they cooked was amazing, I'm for real, it was so good. After lunch we worked some more for like two more hours then we had to take showers. We all got all dressed up and ready for the Wednesday night Service at the local Church, it was a really good service, even though I couldn't understand alot of what they were saying, I still knew it was about God. To meet the people that lived there, and in such poverty that they had to live in. It was amazing to see how much they still appreciate God. Anyways, after the service we came back to the house, then ate dinner, which was amazzinnggg. Then we all headed to bed, but we talked before that.
Thursday- Uhm, we woke up early yet again, ate breakfast, had our Devo.  Then got to work, didn't work as long, only until twelve p.m. Then some people showered, we ate lunch. Then took a siesta (nap) but I didn't get to. Coach and some other people wanted to go play some basketball so, naturally I went. It was me, Coach and Jasmin on one team against Nathan,Zack and Keaton. We schooled them like twenty to nine or something like that. It was alot of fun.  Then we walked back at around three-thirty or later. We all got ready and left around four to go look at a cave someone discovered,  it was cool. Then we went to the Orphanage, oh my gosh, it was much fun. We played "Duck, Duck, Goose" with the little kids, then "Red Light, Green Light".  It was fun but it was really sad, because some of those kids have never known their own parents much less know what parents were.  It really got to alot of people, I know it did me. But we sang songs later on to them, then we did our two little skits, that was fun. Then we left about one hour later. It was hard to say good-bye knowing I won't see them for a long time. Then we home, ate dinner. Devo, then went to bed.
Friday- Woke up early, got all of our luggage together, because it was time to leave Iturbide, Mexico. So, we ate breakfast then hit the road for the six hour drive to Edinburg, TX.  We ended up staying in a Hotel this time, so we didn't have to sleep on concrete floors, so that was so much better. The hotel was so much fun, except with the room arrangement argument.  But after that was settled it got better. Me, and my roomies played "I've Never." and geeeeez. Lol, definetly got some suprises. But, hey they got suprised too, guess they don't really know me. But, now they do, haha. Dang it, I can't be mysterious anymore. But what happens in that Hotel room, stays in that Hotel room, HOPEFULLY. Just call me skills. I somehow acquired the nickname "skills" probably because I have so many, and I definetly overuse that word, way to much-o. BUT anyways, we didn't go to bed until like eleven or twelve, I forget.
Saturday- Wow, let's see. Got a lovely wake up call for six-thirty AM. Woohoo, anyways we got up got ready. Then we went to McDonalds for Breakfast, which was muy bueno. Then we hit the road for the long drive, which was like eleven hours. We stopped for lunch, I had Subway.  Anyways, then we headed home. And we got home at about six. I was so excited to be home, you have no idea. I missed my bed, my shower, my animals. Lol.

So overall, the trip was very successful, I really think it changed alot of people's lives, including mine.

I know it seems very

cliche'

saying this but

this Spring Break was a

Life Changing Experience

comment if you want.

Life's been good, ups and downs, you know. Fortunately more ups than downs. It is still weird about Meagan not being here anymore. But, I guess I'll get used to it. I'm definetly still planning on going to Mexico over Spring Break, I mean its a once in a life time opportunity and I don't want to give it up. Friday I saw End of the Spear, it was good, pretty gory. I'm pretty sure I had to cover my eyes a few times, lol. Saturday woke up kind of late, I don't even remember what I did Saturday, haha. Sunday woke up early went to Kilgore hung out. I was planning on going to Church but I wouldn't have had a ride home so I just didn't go. I know I probably could have gotten one but I didn't want to make that person go out of their way. So, I just stayed home and hung out with my mom. Watched Desperate Housewives, NBA All Star Game(Which the East won, ), then watched Grey's Anatomy. I love that show. March Maddness is during Spring Break, but I'll live without watching it..for the first year since I was like 12. But, it's all good. I'd rather help out people in Mexico than stay at home and do nothing. I am trying to change, for the better. I have made myself promises to not say certain things to not do certain things and I really hope I can keep them, I would love to become the person I'm trying to be. If that makes sense at all. But that's it I'm gonna go. TAKS tomorrow= So, I'm pissed about that, because TAKS is pure hell.

Hm, I guess it's time for an update.  Not much is going on right now really. Um, I'll start with Wednesday I guess.

Wednesday- Me and my cousin woke up at like 9-something got ready then left at 11:30 or so to go to Wal-mart so my sister could turn in her film from Florida. Then we went to the movies at 12:45. We saw bewitched, it was pretty cool.  Better than I thought actually.  We went to the mall at like 2:30 or something like that and stayed at the mall for like 3 hours shopping. It was great because I haven't been shopping in forever. Then we saw one of my sister's friends mom there and she invited us to go Putt-Putt but that didn't work out so we came home and me and my cousin swam at like midnight. It was cool. Then we went to bed really late, like 3-something.

Thursday- Um, we woke up late, hung around the house.  Just chilled for most of the day. Then my mom got off at 3 and we were going to go to the lake but the rain kept us from going.  So at like 4:30 we headed off and went to my favorite place in the world, *Mercados*, wow I haven't been there in forever. And, I got to see Tommy, he's my favorite server! Lol, good times at good ol Mercados. I wish my dad still worked there, but oh well. We still get the food free if my dad's friend is still there.  Then we went to Bestbuy and I bought Relient Ks CD, I've wanted it forever! I'm listening to them right now actually. Then me and my cousin watched Scary Movie 3 and Mean Girls (Like our favorite movies ever) Then went to bed at like 3:30.

Friday(Today)-WOW we woke up SOOO late, at 2, lol. Then we hung around on here for like an hour then went swimming for like an hour. And now my parents are home and they are making us some dinner. And that's it for now, and I think this is a good update.
