i don't normally put a title on my entries but i felt like it with this one. i'm not sure why. maybe it's because for once in my life things aren't too bad. i better not talk too loud, though, or someone might hear and it will be nothing but down hill.
i finally graduated...last saturday. wow...to think it's only been a week but its felt like two. the graduation was long and boring. well, andrea, you know this after sitting through your graduation and the graduation of m. we had a little over 700 graduates. about 3/4 of them were there. education majors were the last ones to go. i was in row 21 of 25. and i was on stage for maybe 30 seconds. oh well. i sat by two people that had interesting comments and it kept me amused. the weather was great and it's too bad they couldn't have had it in the stadium. there's no shade there but it still would have been great. afterwards mom, kari, joan, cj, grandma, and i went to the eagle hotel and ate there. the food was good and grandma wasn't too nuts (which was a great positive). then sunday when i went to church three people gave me cards with either money or gift certificates in them. my people at church are so nice. they didn't know about the party (and they still don't...i have to remember to take an invitation to hang up on the door so everyone knows).
wednesday mom had her first eye surgery. i guess they gave her a whole new lens that's magnified. once both of her eyes are all healed up she'll have to get new glasses. but that's okay because the prescription won't be nearly as strong as it has been. thursday when i took her to the doctor to get her patch taken off she could see right away. WITHOUT her glasses. and she could read like the first four lines on that chart thing. she goes back next week to see how everything is healing. but so far it's all great. she can't read anything very well but that's okay.
the day before my last day at the middle school we went to a seawolves game. totally dull but my kids are awesome and some of them came a sat with me in the bleachers (i stayed there incase anything happened). but guess who i saw there in charge of the fun things like throwing shirts into the crowd and running the different races...i'll give you a few clues...was in our class in high school, tall, brown hair, totally annoying, initials r r....give up? his first name was spelled ryan but you can't pronounce it like that....it's pronounced like fruit rhine (haha...he is a fruit). he didn't see me because it wasn't stupid enough to go over and talk to him but still. what a dork.
i sent an invitation to my party to steph...hopefully she'll come down. it's on a weekend so she can spend saturday with her family and sunday with me! i'll totally understand if you don't want to come if steph doesn't come. we can go out another time and do something.
