yea... im not dead or anythin... just kinda forgettin about my page. haha. i have some pictures up on my exchange website... its dutch days week and im quite busy. Tomorrow will be the first time in YEARS that i've sat and watched the entire parade... craziness... lol... well, i really don't feel like writin much in this... so.. leave some comments if ya love me!

OH MY GOSH!!! I just got off the phone with my host dad... well, actually the phone connection cut off, so i think i might try it again later. Like... get up early (like 8 or so) and call again. It's such an exciting experience... like, seeing a name and address and stuff on a piece of paper is pretty cool... but to actually hear their voice and have a conversation, its even better! it really solidifies the fact that you have a family. They have three kids: a 10 year old.. girl, i think... like i said, the connection was awful, a 15 year girl (YES! ... she even thinks its kool that i'm a cheerleader and wants em to teach her and her friends some stuff ) and a 17 year old son, who is going somewhere in the US the first week of september... but i didn't really catch where it was that he is going. wow... so uber exciting.. he mentioned that school had already started... but that's ok... i'll just start as soon as i get there i can't wait till i can talk to him again! .... till next time!

i'm in the mood to actually update. The past two weeks since school was out have been interesting... out with my friends almost every night.. and stuck at the house watchin my little brother almost every day. In the past few weeks... there have been some great memories... Hangin out with "the senior week crew" ... named that because Josh Lucas didn't go to senior week with anyone... so the crew consisted of me, kalie, josh, tj, and lexie... and we did a bunch of stuff. Pool parties at kalies... sleepin under the stars in her backyard... seein creepy flashin lights in her house... and hot tubbin at lexie's... then came lexie's party on saturday... for her sweet sixteen... that was a lot of fun... lots of dancing and just havin a great time! I that chickie! This whole week was spent at bible school... i taught my mom's class on monday and wednesday... and taught pastor tammy's class today, along with doing skits and games every day. Monday nite... we had another semi party at kalies... the guys came over to swim but all left around 11... and then brandy, jamie, and i slept over. haha... josh came to the pool with a watermelon on his head... and did a melon dive... that was quite funny. (i think i mite put pictures up from this sumtime soon!) .. and then we --the girls-- stayed up talkin and stuff till the late hours of the nite.

Yesterday.. i had to go and give a speech to my rotary club. It went very well actually. They all wished me luck and said that i did a good job i didn't prepare like ANYTHING... haha.. just did it spur of the moment. After my speech (which was at noon... well, the meeting was at noon) kalie, jamie, jared --my little brother-- and i went party shopping. we got lots of decorations.. and i picked up some "American pride" type stuff to take with me... three little American flags, some stickers, some pencils, and some postcards of Pennsylvania stuff to use as thank yous. (idea complements of Matt Epply... exchange student extraordinaire ) .. then went to walmart and got some stuff to make table centerpieces.. which i think look really cute lol. Then back home 2 get ready 4 bible school and carolina's party. went to bible school and left rite after the skits.. n headed to carolina's. swam for a lil and then made a fire... i called my parents around 10:45 to see if i could stay the night and they said yes.. so i ran home quick and got some warmer clothes. got back to carolina's... watched steve go fire diving (jumpin dangerously close to the top of a campfire) and then watched him get his ass branded with a hot dog roastin stick... that was HILARIOUS! both cheeks... after he said that the first one really hurt, he let them do the second one! some people got back into the pool... and were really loud.. and once we got out, carolina said that her host parents said that everyone had to leave. She still had a bunch of packin to do... and she had to leave at 10:30 and flew out at 2... harrisburg-->cleveland-->new york-->lisbon... its hard to believe that she's on her way back to portugal... this year went so fast. comin from being a portuguese city girl to an american country girl... she's changed a lot.. but all for the better. So glad that i got to meet her.. i know she had a great year and i'm sorry to see her leave. so... back to the story... we left at like 3:15 and we decided to go to TJ's to crash there.. it was funny b/c he wasn't fully awake... but we slept there till like 6:30 and then went home. i did some stuff around the house today... went to bible school.. then down to gab's for a little and made a campfire... and now im back here. I think im soon gonna call my  host family... since its like noon down there.. and find out what day im supposed to be there by! props to anyone who read alla this!

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out, and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

P.S. - Why doesn't "Buick" rhyme with "quick"?

in other news.. im am sunburnt so bad that i look like a lobster... not fun at all. and this week is bible school .. so i'm really busy... and i still don't know the exact date that i'm leaving b/c bokoff-kaplan is stupid! lol! there's my rant for the day... i mite post lata... who knows...
