So, I realize that I haven't updated this practically at all this summer.  And that's because not much has happened all summer.  I've just been lounging around.  I watched a lot of the World Cup.  Yay.  Zinedine Zidane is the new Chuck Norris.  Seriously.  He's incredible.  Rich and I have watched a ton of movies.  Lately we've been on an anime kick.  Spirited Away is an exceptionally good movie.  I highly suggest you check it out.  Right now he's in San Antonio though, so I'm sad.  And then we have like, three days and then I leave for Canada until August 10th.  Sigh...

Let's see...what else....  I got my new MacBook for school.  I alternate between absolutely loving it and wanting to throw it out a window.  Right now I'm feeling the latter.

I also got (today!) the Hairspray soundtrack, the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack, and a Rilo Kiley CD.  I haven't gotten a chance to listen to all of them yet, but I really like Hairspray.  I'm still jealous the marching band gets to have that as their show this year.  But we got to sing and dance to it sophomore year in Singers, so I guess that's better.  Plus I'm helping out the Mallettas when I'm not in Canada, so I'll still get to hear the show, even if only in the early stages.

Other than that not too much has been going on.  I saw the fireworks at the Marion County Fair, I saw the Music Man, I played flashlight tag, I've danced line dances in Katie's living room, I had a terrific Canada Party (5th annual!), I took Rich on a surprise picnic at Delaware Dam, I've gone to a few bonfires, I was at a party that got busted by the cops (ask Kyle Key about that one lol), and uh...that's really about it.  It's been fantastic to relax and not have a bajillion things to do.  It's still going by too quickly though.

I've had the hardest time getting to sleep lately.  I stay up till like, 4 AM at least.  Then I sleep till 1.  Not a good schedule.  Plus I've been breaking out in hives, which hasn't happened since I was about 12.  So yesterday I went and got some Benadryl, that should cure both problems!  Plus I'm still having breathing-type issues.  Not good.

Love is fantastic.  I think the highlight of my summer so far is the night Rich and I laid out in his backyard and watched dusk turn into night and then the subsequent stars.  It was just us.  And the stars.  And the fireflies.  And the mosquitos.  And the motion lights.  Lol.  Really though, it was a great time.  He really is something special.  "We fit together like a puzzle," as Bright Eyes (or Kiersten) would say.   I just absolutely love him.

Anyway, that's about it around here.  Sorry I haven't been updating much.  I update my MySpace blog more often (but usually less specific), if you're really that curious about my life.

It's still Wednesday Night...ish....

Hmm...I just realized I haven't updated this thing in like, two weeks.

Not much has been going on.  I love summer.  Just hanging out, reading, watching the World Cup and a whole bunch of movies, spending lots of time with friends and a certain someone wonderful, etc etc etc.

I got a bunch of new CD's today.  And by a bunch I mean three:
Snow Patrol - Eyes Open
Guster - Ganging Up on the Sun
Matthew West - History

They are all fantastic.  I really really really like Snow Patrol.  They're definitely up there on the new favorite bands list.

Anyway, the U.S. plays Ghana tomorrow at 10 AM.  Early, but it's an important game so I'm getting up to watch it.  Plus I have to call Rich with up-to-the-minute updates, as all morning he will be down in Marysville teaching little kids how to play soccer.

Oh, and I bought hiking boots today for the Harvard "Freshman Outdooring Program" (aka FOP) thing I'm going to the first week in September.  And I got new flip-flops that are ridiculously comfortable.  Pretty exciting.

Starting tomorrow, I have stuff for my cousin's wedding every night for the next three weeks.  ...that's a lot of family.  It should be pretty fun though, I guess.  And I get to see my brothers again on Friday night/Saturday.

Today was the longest day of the year.  By the time I realized it, it was already dark.  I feel like Daisy Buchanan.  I looked forward to the longest day of the year and then missed it.  Sigh...

He really is incredible.  I could go into it, but I don't think I can explain it in words.  He just amazes me.  Il m'emerveille.

Anyway, I suppose I ought to be heading to bed.  Goodnight, all.

Quickish update... (I'm tired....)

Graduation went great.  My speech went well.  I barely even got nervous.  And I didn't cry too much during For Good.  I was proud of myself.

My party also went great.  There were a ton of people there and the food was excellent.  Thanks to everyone who came to that.

Monday BDubs = Yay.  ish.   Richie and Georgette won things, so that's very good.  Irritating no-shoes girl also won things, so that's less good.  Dusters was awesome, as usual.  Then Adam, Morgan, John (my bro), Rich, and I all played Dance Dance Revolution in my basement, which was hilarious.  By the way, don't let Rich ever try to tell you he can't dance because he did just fine.  He was as good as Adam was, and Adam was one of our best guys in Singers this year.

Then Tuesday a bunch of us went to watch Rich play soccer in Hilliard.  That was a blast.  He's so good.....   Then we went to Graeters afterward....mmmmm......

Then tonight was my senior recital.  It went extremely well.  There were quite a few people there, mostly adult-types.

I love my friends.  Seriously.  A lot.  They're pretty much incredible.

Rich is an amazing person.  In case you guys were wondering.     There's just something about him......

Anyway, I am way tired so I must go to bed.  I apologize if any of this doesn't make sense........sometimes when I'm sleepy I change thought patterns randomly in the middle of things.  Or something.

Goodnight.

Well....life sure changes quickly, doesn't it...

It's been one emotionally packed week.  Senior stuff is always sad, of course.  But comparatively it seems kind of trite.

It's still kind of unbelievable.  I didn't even hardly know him and it's still made a pretty big impact on me.  I think I'm in a rather large group of people who are like on the second degree of this whole thing.  We didn't personally know him very well, but we're very close with people who did know him.  I guess my point is, all of you guys who were really hit hard by this -- you're never alone.  There are a very large number of people who care about you and who are concerned about you.  We are absolutely willing to listen or hug or help you however we can...just say the word and we're there.  We love you!

It certainly makes you think....

Needless to say, I was very happy to see Rich come home safe from his soccer tournament.  I spent the whole day with him today, practically.  Just connecting and making sure he knows how much I care about him.  Sigh....he's an amazing person and I do not know what I would do without him.............

Anyway, I hope things get better for people.  I'm prayin for you guys!

Tomorrow is it.  The end of high school.

I am incredibly sad.

I really don't know what I'm going to do without these people in my life.  You all mean so much to me, I can't even begin to describe it.

Sigh...
