| | Excited yet nervous... First thing tomorrow morning I will be heading up to JP's apartment so we can pick up the rental car for our trip. For those of you who don't know, he and I are driving up to Rochester, NY to spend the weekend with his family. I'm excited that he is wanted me to meet his family but at the same time, I am terrified that I am going to be put under a microscope. His two brothers still live in Rochester (actually as of last weekend they both now live with their parents again). So, their girlfriends are around a lot and their parents know the girlfriends pretty well. However, due to the fact that JP lives 12 hours away and met me down here in North Carolina, most of the attention will be on us.
Even though most parents like me, I'm still nervous. What if they don't like me? Will that be the end of our relationship? And why do we have to visit his parents first? Why can't he be the first one put in the awkward position of meeting the parents? Oh well. If you think about it, pray for our safety as we spend a full 24 hours traveling there and back between tomorrow and Tuesday. Also, pray that I can relax and just be myself.
