Some of my husbands fondest memories of times with his Dad are when they would go fishing. This year Jeremy went and got his fishing license, a fishing pole, and equipment. Whenever, he has time he likes to go for a few hours and see if he can catch anything. It's something that is relaxing for him and I hope the tradition of taking our children will be something he desires to do, especially if we have a boy.
Maybe grandpa can come too!
It was so funny when he came home with his new fishing pole. He had to immediately figure it all out. These are the pictures that I took of him gearing it up with line and etc. He had no idea I was taking these pictures, through the screened window.
This weekend, Saturday and Sunday, we went fishing together. Since I don't have a fishing license I can't fish so I just stand around and watch (and give direction when I forget to hold my tongue). That is what I did Saturday but Sunday I got smart and took a bag full of painting supplies and a camping chair. I did some watercolors, looked around and the scenary, and just talked with Jeremy every once and awhile. Here are some pictures of yesterday's afternoon at the Susquehanna river, fishing.
No bites! Unless rocks count.
God only knows how much time I will have with my husband, on this earth, but I am so grateful for every minute, every day, every month, every year, He is has so graciously given to me with Jeremy. I can't imagine a better husband for me. What an abundant blessing Jeremy is from the Lord. I can't thank the Lord enough for my wonderful husband.
