SINCE NONE OF YOU ARE GOING TO THE LINK AND POSTING>>>>>WHICH YOU SHOULD>>>>>I WILL GIVE YOU A GLIMPSE OF WHY YOU SHOULD!

Year three!

I am down in Georgia for the third year now. This year I am with the Eisons for only 1 full day, however we are using the time by jam packing every second with fun ... i.e. we are watching a science video :). We went to the Botanical Gardens again this year, I do not have a camera this year so I will try to post links to the places we go. Mr. Eison and my father are "PLAYING golf" (not golfing :)) today.

"The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is a public educational facility operated under the auspices of the University of Georgia. It is a "living laboratory" for university students and faculty who utilize the collections and natural plant communities for studies in a variety of disciplines. The Garden is also a public garden for enjoyment by the general public who find beauty, knowledge and solitude in a garden setting." (http://www.uga.edu/botgarden/about.html)

Yesterday 3/28/07
I arrived in Atlanta at about 2pm, the Eisons were kind enough to come and pick me up. Mrs. Eison, Elliot and Anna were in the car, from the airport we went to Le Cordon Bleu in Tucker, GA. I wanted to see what the college was like. We arrived at the college where Chef Dahl was waiting outside the door to start our tour. The school was wonderful, I really loved it. When I was there I saw Chef Kanadu (chef from last year) and Chef Kazenske (from the first year I was here). I decided that Chef Dahl should be an official tour guide :). Atlanta Cordon Bleu website http://www.atlantaculinary.com/

After the college we went to the Atlanta Glass co. (don’t remember the name) we picked up some glasses for the Masters. Mrs. Eison is still one of the best cooks/chefs I know we had a great chicken Marinate with pesto spaghetti. Mr. Eison is one of the greatest grillers I know because the chicken was done to perfection! My Dad arrived at about 9:30 that night, about three minutes into his arrival Mrs. Eison already had a very profound question to ask him.

The Eisons have all grown! They are all looking fantastic and are all as hospitable as ever. Elise recently turned 14, she had her ears pierced as her 14th birthday treat. Mrs. Eison had hers pierced as well. Elliot is now a lizard not a monkey, he is up and climbing any tree he can. He still loves reading and playing board games. Anna is also grown. She likes telling jokes and she is following in the family footsteps with her hospitality. Lewis is four now, he is being taught potty training and seems to be doing great. He is still as cute as ever.

I will be leaving Saturday Morning to Check in with Chef Jay-Z for prep work at the Masters. It should be fun and I am looking forward to it.

2nd Place

Thanks for asking about the cooking contest. I didnt think I placed until today when I opened what I thought was junk mail (not e-mail). Inside the envelope were the results!  I was awarded First Runner Up (second place) in the dessert category for the freshman/sophomore division.  My parents and I were ecstatic - scholarship money -- a four year renewable scholarship to Johnson & Wales University!  I also have a complimentary registration to a summer program after my sophomore year AND a demonstration from a J&W chef at my high school.  I'm brain-storming on that last item!

Thanks for your interest!  See Ya Next Round (3 more years to enter).

Hello Everyone! I get to go to GA in a week and a day! It came sooooo sooo fast. :)

Hockey is over. We placed fourth in the state. We had a really tough loss in the semi's (game before we are in the state chapionship) Our team tied it up with 26 seconds left in the 3rd. We went into overtime absolutly going crazy and about 2min into overtime we had (in my teams opinion) THE WORST WAY TO LOOSE The puck made it short of icing our defenseman came back to get the puck and start the attack went for the puck then the puck hit off her skate and went in our net. :( :( My coach said "Its one of those FREAK goals that you (Emily) cant do anything about" I was saD! But anyways Tonka won state and we love tonka so it was not that bad. We went to the game and I think we were extremely annoying  :). We stole the Tonka away jerseys. Then for the rest of the game the players could not hear the refs....it was awsome :)
