| not that I'm really updating anymore but...
today I was babysitting and we raked up all the millions and jillions on leaves in her front yard into a gigantic pile and then jumped into it and layed in it. and then repeated steps 1 and 2 at least 15 more times. it was nice. we also played outside like little kids do, soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball, and we colored with sidewalk chalk.
let me tell you, though it counted as working and therefore not quite as a successful weekend, i did have a really nice time. we should all just go outside and be little kids once in a while
and in other news, christmas is coming. it's not quite here yet, but it's definitely coming, i broke out one of my great xmas music mixes today. I didn't listen to the whole thing, but i scanned through the songs, and it was nice. christmas is nice until i remember the stress and family disfunction-ality
| trip was fantastic, very relaxing
but now i'm paying for it with all the shit i have to do. but i'll try not to complain because i was on the beach

| a week from today I will be lounging on the beach in cape cod. for a whole freaking 8 days. can't wait
in other news, i've been reading and enjoying Rolling Stone. read THIS -->
Rolling Stone article about Sheehan vigil camped out in front of George W. Bush's Texas ranch wanting to know why her son died in Iraq, and how these peace movements have turned into red vs. blue chest puffing sessions...
"Another group I spoke with asked me why I believe Iraq wasn't connected to 9/11. I answered that Saddam Hussein's secular government was a political enemy of the Islamic fundamentalists. 'Well,' said Raymond Smith, 42, 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' He laughed, and the group nodded at me triumphantly. It was like a scene from Spinal Tap. Three seconds passed. 'But,' I said finally, 'that doesn't make any sense, does it?' Everyone shrugged impatiently. Who gives a fuck? We believe what we believe - and fuck you if you don't like it. The Iraq war is like the sun: No one wants to stare at it too long."
