| life has its funny ups and downs... lol and with periods of trauma and storm, there will always be a time for healing and for regaining all that you did lose - or at least I like to believe that this is true. pain is a sign of a wound, scars a lasting impression, and we all need the comfort of friends as the gauze and tape in the recovery. but you know you are healed when you feel hope again, the sunny day after a tempest. so after all the batterings of wind and water, i look to next weekend and just perhaps i dare to hope - a bit... just a little bit =) | | |
| Pursuit of HappynessAfter watching Pursuit of Happyness... maybe Jefferson had more on his mind than just the protection of property, which was what the original idea was, when he wrote the Declaration of Independence. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. There's a line in the movie that goes something like this: "Most of our lives we spend the time trying to reach happiness, trying to get to that place." A lucky few have found it, but most of us haven't. Some of us have settled to be satisfied and therefore "happy" with their current conditions. I dont know if happiness exists. But if it does, it's been a long journey but I think i took another step recently. I wish this year be the year for the Pursuit of Happiness, and if possible, just a little bit more than the others. May you all prosper; may you all feel absolutely content at some point this year. | | |
| If I Die - Something Corporate A train crashed And everything slows down I was wishing I could get out of this town These dreams we've had Have never made you cry And I am not a twinkle in your eye But I've got to get out of here Cuz you drive me up the wall I've got to get out of here Cuz I can't stand to fall
And If I die see you won't be so close to me And I won't be the one Who sticks around If I'm awake see you won't go to sleep, I promise And I won't be the one Who lets you down
Tailgates, long talks And your superficial friends Shiny, silver Fords That lead us to dead ends And I said do you lick these salty wounds That you, yourself condone I sit, wait, and I'm all alone But I can't go home 'Cause you're my home
If I die see you won't be so close to me And I won't be the one Who sticks around If I'm awake see you won't go to sleep, I promise And I won't be the one Who lets you down No, I won't let you down No, I won't let you down
Tell me where you are tonight And is everything alright? Do you remember what I said, While he's sleeping in your bed? tell me now you Smile hard cuz i don't smile much so far And is he everything you need? Is he everything I couldn't be? Does he make everything match better? Bring you all the shiny weather that you want And is he everything everything I'm not
And If I die You won't be so close to me And I won't be the one Who sticks around If I'm awake see you won't go to sleep, I promise And I won't be the one Who lets you down no, I won't let you down no, I won't let you down I won't let you down I won't let you down
-And when everything seems like a replay of the same old shit over and over again, then perhaps it's time to just walk away... just walk away... walk away... | | |
| A great big thank you to all of my friends who attended our quasi picnic in Steph J.'s living room and celebrated my 18th bday with me. It was tres awesome to see of all of you again, and despite the weather we certainly had a lot of fun. A BIG thank you to Steph for having us, and rescuing the venture at the last minute. Don't know what i would have done. A thank you to Gallina and Val, for the... interesting... but certainly entertaining entertainment. To Everyone who made my 18th bday a wonderful success, and finally to Elie for bruschetta (however you spell it), for the personalized iPod and for taking the PATH with me. Jersey wasn't that bad, actually. Or maybe its just that Raj made it all better. Anyways, gtg
thanks you guys | | |
| Weddings, alcohol... yeah, life as a camera man does have its merits. Got paid to go on an interesting date with free booze. What could be better? | | |
