  • New Toy *Grinz*

Hello! Guess what! I am using a 'new tome' toy to write this blog

My hubby had a palm pilot he hadn't used in a while- I was going to list it on ebay but then I got to playing unth it- I think perhaps it will be my little toy for a while. What I like is that I can prepare documents or blogs or whatever without having to sit at the computer. Maybe - just maybe I'll be able to post more blogs like I used to.

The funny thing though is that it is a little outdated so I might need to updated the software- but that's no big deal.

How are my blog family members doing? Drop me a comment- I'll catch up on blogs as much as I can- drop me a line!

  • YOU make a DIFFERENCE!

I know... I still have yet to approach the Moses topic.. but I had a conversation with my son the other night.

My children seem to be inspiring me the most recently, but that's not a bad thing! Just  an interesting note to be made!

Our associate Pastor, Holly, had a baby last December. Since then she has been taking her turn in the nursery. She really does make such a good momma!

Miz Holly ( As my children call her ) is very creative and she does every job very well. She always puts her best effort and heart into what she does... and it truly has always been so much more appreciated then we could tell her. A few weeks back I had given her a book I had found that was full of Sunday school lessons for toddlers from 2 - 4 ( I think) of age.  Anyway she took it and ran with it.

Now my daughter is usually right in to whatever is going on. She will color the pictures and do whatever... but my son, Elijah... lol he is a free spirit. He definitely dances to the beat of a different drum! Holly had always tried to include him, but never pressed the issue.. if he wanted to just lay ... she would just let him play.

Keeping in mind that Elijah just turned 2 in February. I know I'm the momma so I'd brag anyway, but truthfully Elijah surprises many people frequently, including myself. I am not always prepared for the 'little man' moments he has. Very clever... very smart little boy (which is a big part of the reason why he is usually in trouble rofl)

At any rate this is the set up for understanding of where I'm going with this.

The other night I was getting Elijah ready for bed, when he initiated a conversation.. in which I will translate for you (LOL)

    "momma?"
    "Yes baby?"
    "y-kno-wat" (you know what?)
    "what's up"
"I wuv Hawwy" (I love Holly)
"Aww that's nice of you to say, why do you love miz Holly?"
"tell me Jesus" (she tells me about Jesus)

Now this was quite the surprise. When I told Holly about it she was just as surprised as I was.. as she hadn't directly taught Elijah about Jesus... but obviously Elijah has been watching and listening and was being fed... his life is being molded.

Everything we do in life counts for something. We may not see the results or fully grasp the full impact that we have on other lives. Now - we can take this little lesson several ways,  one being aware that our lives do have impact regardless if we intend to or not...  and another thought is honestly... 'as you do unto the least of these'. People don't always value teaching Sunday school, or helping in nursery or even just the odd jobs around the church... but you know what .. don't underestimate the importance and the impact that one can have in this area.

I am so blessed that my son has been impacted in this way... it was a good lesson and a very sharp reminder that my walk, my life is important!

  • CREEPY CRAWLY THINGS

I'll get to the Moses thing ina day or two .. but I can't handle any more creepy crawly things!!!!!!  It's been raining lots so that drives bugs in .. no matter how much you spray. I had a roach today in my bathroom.. oh man that freaks me out.

Today I went to check my mail box.. stepped on a snake.. don't freak out it was only gross.. didn't attack me ROFL it was just a garter I'm sure but EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWUGH

And the other morning Troy got a big old wolf spider that was on the wall above my head when I was sleeping. It was at least  and inch and a half in length...  maybe even almost 2 it was huge... if I didn't recognize a wolf spider I woulda thought it to be a tarantula.

no more creepy crawly slithery things ! ESPECIALLY the devil he's the worst of em all!
