What is the purpose of this listing and how does it work?
Fanlistings like this are just a way to display your support for a certain subject, which in this case is your love for a certain bishie (or bishies ;]). It's simple-- anyone can apply for a bishie, and if that character isn't listed yet, his name will be put up on the Claimed List with her name beside it.

What is a bishounen/bishie?
As defined by the wonderful Wikipedia, a bishounen is “a specific Japanese aesthetic concept of the ideally beautiful young man”. :]

Why name this site “Fangirl Squeal”?
I decided on this name on a whim, and I think it fits the theme of this site nicely. After all, these two words basically sum up the reaction a typical girl has when she sees a bishie, right?

Why should I take the time and claim a bishie?
Simply put, they're bishies! Assuming you're an otaku or fangirl yourself, haven't you ever wanted a certain character for yourself? This is the opportunity to accomplish just that. x3

Okay, so how exactly do I claim one then?
That's pretty easy; just read the rules below, and then check the Claimed List to make sure your character of choice isn't already taken. If he isn't listed, then by all means request him using the form. :] After that, please *immediately* put up a link to

The following are my guidelines in order to claim a bishie. We know it's long, but it's worth it, ne? (lol) Please be sure to abide by them!

* Anyone may claim any male character from an anime, manga or video game series. ALSO :: As of 4/5/07, you may now also claim celebrities and real-life people! :O

* You don't have to have a website (most of you will have Xangas), but if you do, you MUST link back to FS. We will check your site to make sure that you do; if you don't, we'll inform you twice. After that, we'll take you/your bishie off the claimed list. :[ Link buttons are provided on the right module under 'The Codes'. If you would like a personalized button that says 'I claimed so-and-so at fangirl!Squeal', by all means ask Jenny in a comment. :D

* You may only claim one character per week. This means that you can technically claim an unlimited number of characters, as long as you don't claim more than one within seven days.

* Claims work on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once a character is claimed, he is off-limits, period. No complaining! The only exception to this rule is when a character is dropped; when this happens, we will clear him from the list and he will be up for grabs again. Please check the Claimed List beforehand so that you don't choose an already claimed character. :0

* You cannot claim transformations, older versions or anything of the sort of the same character. For example, Ichigo (Bleach) and Hollow Ichigo are considered the same character.

* Trading characters is ALLOWED, as long as both owners both confirm to us that they would like to switch.

* Write four where it says '2 + 3 =' (on the form) so that we know you've read the rules. ^^

* If you would like to drop a claim, contact us ASAP so that we can take your character off the list. Either leave a comment on the first entry, or email us.

* We don't want to list dead sites, so if you don't update your site in more than three months, we'll take you off the list. D: We just think it wouldn't be fair to everyone else. >_<;

* You are encouraged to subscribe. :]

We understand if you accidentally make a mistake, but if it's a really obvious one, or if you do it repeatedly, you will receive a one-week ban (basically one week of no claiming) as a penalty. :[

Yunri is currently a 15-year-old sophomore at Piedmont High School in California. Being the stereotypical Asian girl, she's into anime & graphic design (if you haven't figured that out already...). Her favorite food is sushi (and Hisaki xDD), and she dislikes mushrooms. Yunri has a strange obsession with cute things, and tends to get hurt in the most unlikely ways (ie. tripping up stairs, opening lockers). She REALLY doesn't like emoism, or how people interpret it... with the exception of emo angsty boys, like Squall Leonhart and Uchiha Sasuke. <3 She also dislikes fangirl!Japanese and Walmart because both things suck out people's souls when they aren't looking.
