| Today is a very sad day indeed....
The mother of my future children is engaged to another man....
Who likes hobbits anyway? And who the hell could ever say that he is in her league? She's WAY out of his league...mine too...but one could always hold on to dreams.

In other news, what I do(or don't get to do) for the next three years of my life is going to be decided tomarrow evening by a panel of elders with all the admissions powers. Pray, light incense, and those of you at baylor picket in front of the deans office so that I get the congratulatory phone call and not the very thin "sorry but many good applicants and few spots" letter for loosers.
| I know many of you have already had your first week in school....but I'm hoping you each found yourself in the self-same bored-out-of-your-mind...
stressed...unmotivated....lazy....procrastinating state of existence as I have suffered from since Spring semester started for me. Sure I have this last semester left and I am so close from leaving this chapter in my life and starting a new volume(hopefully)...but to think of all the tests, quizzes, projects, papers, long nights, and all-niters ahead is unfathomable and insurmountable.
On another note....did you hear about the couple in rural texas who were performing ritual animal sacrifices?
| IT MUST BE FINALs TIME!!
As I sit in the library cramming...i mean studying deligently for an exam....I sense a great disturbance in the air.....And I do mean DISTURBANCE. The funk flowing from this stank gentlemen across from me is enough to make my eyes water. And those of you who have ever waited 30min for a computer in the library understand that barring someone being murdered at the console....I am not giving up my temporary workspace. And before you think I am being ethnically unjust. He is a white man...so its not culture or custom. And I am sure its not me! I already ruled that one out. And there are brief respites between him raising his arms that are just brief enough to come up for air. His hat says it all: UH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
enough...back to studying for me
| Thanksgiving was alright....some sleep...not much...BUT LOTS OF FOOD! There were 21 people at our thanksgiving lunch/linner....my family and my sister's husband's family and extended family! But I managed to slip out the back door onto the picnic table with the kids in order to dodge the inevitable social exchange of endless questions that you know they don't really care about!! How many times can I answer the, "So how's school?" or "How are classes going?" or my favorite...."So when are you graduating?"....NEVER haha! But for the most part, I dodged all of the questions and only had one question to answer over and OVER AND OVER AGAIN for the kids. All of you who know young children know the question I complain about.......What is this? What is that? !!! I had to restrain myself from screaming "FOOD...now eat it" Dessert was the best! There were these candies called chocolate covered Oreos.......OH OH OH they were good, but what do you expect from crushed oreos, cream cheese, and milk chocolate. Glad I don't know how to make them or else I would turn into the half-ton man having problems breathing due to the weight from all the oreo candy goodness!
On another note all you peeps with digital cameras are making me look like I'm low tech or something....I don't have pictures of my turkey or of the children throwing mashed potatoes at each other or anything. You will all just have to use your imagination of what my thanksgiving looked like.
