I Dare You

Yesterday's post was lengthy and, though passionate, also kinda heavy. For anyone interested, please feel free to continue the discussions there. Today I want to have a bit of fun. If you want to show you care about me, you'll have some fun and be honest with me...

Many of you have seen these floating around so you already know what they are. The first one is easy. Just pick 5-6 words that describe me (then enter your name and click submit to see the results). I value your opinions, so go ahead and...

Step 1 (Easy) Click Here

Now for those of you who think you know me, I would appreciate it if you would kick it up a notch and lay out honestly for me your opinions on a second and probably more challenging poll (I promise not to get offended and I won't hunt you down where you live)...

Step 2 (More Challenging) Click Here

The following chart contains the results. All participation is sincerely appreciated. The polls will remain open if others care to join the fun, but this is as much as I'm updating this post. Special thanks to those brave enough to try #2.

Me again... as is the trouble with Nohari, there aren't the right kinds of adjectives and it won't let you choose less than the required number, so I choose not to do it rather than having to pick things I don't really think is true. However, I will tell you (here it comes) that two "negative" traits (IMO) you have are that you are too impatient with yourself and I just can't get passed that "shield of diplomacy" you hide behind to see the real you.

OT: A certain mutual friend told me she didn't think anyone would have enough "nerve" to put the Nohari on their Xanga. I did and send you a *high five*

A challenging quiz.

Response also on my site.

So you say that nations should not be in alliance if their leaders are against God, I agree. Also that nations are blessed when they help those who belong to the Lord. How would you say this has affected the Us or any nation in the modern world?

I did the Johari but not the Nohari.  I don't feel I know you well enough to give me the right to say negative things.  I looked at the results, and if I understand it right, the list on the left is your self-appraisal?  I could only think of four negative things at all:  impatient, unhappy, self-satisfied, and intolerant.  But I rejected doing it because these are based on reading only a few of the posts, in other words, after only a couple of weeks ....not really enough.  Interesting windows, though.  I also agree with Chasing Dani, the adjectives on the seond window were mostly just the "wrong" ones.  Gerrie

I see Joharis floating around xanga. I tried to fill out a few, but so far "timeout from remote host. website overloaded" is all I see. How about I give you three adjectives here?
educated, balanced, caring.
Will that do?

I did the first but as Gerrie said don't feel I know you well enough to pick out "negative" traits.  Those show up generally over time and I wasn't comfortable doing that one!

can't do the second one, for I don't look at people that way, I seek their strong points, and the first scale leaves out some wonderful qualities, good leader of scouts, good and loving parent and husband, comitted to diet, caring of others, willing to work hard to share the truth.

My answers are only as accurate as I can get from what I know of you. What can you know about someone untill you've had a fight, and I usually agree with you, or keep quiet.

Per your request, I did the Johari, but the choices were repetitive (intelligent people are knowledgable, aren't they?)... as was the Nohari... which didn't have the adjectives Iwould have used.  If you'd like my five, I can e-mail them.  ((wink!))  Or, I could have fun with this and post the Johari and Nohari equivalents of ten of my Xanga friends on my site, with no names attached, and you can pick which one you like best.  Y'know, that sounds like fun...  Heheheheh.  Thank you...!  For tomorrow's post!

Alex - Thanks for participating and for your honesty. I don't mind the "negatives" at all. Its a chance for insight and perhaps a bit of growth.

Daniel - Your question deserves a better answer than I'm prepared to give today. Good one, tho.

Gerrie - LOL. Yes, the left is self-appraisal. On the right is by others.

Shaolin - I don't do chain letters.

Gary - That is exceedingly kind of you. Thanks.

Tim - Thank you.

Heather - You are so sweet. Thank you.

Tina - I don't hate you, I'm very pleased you tried. Food for thought...

Lane - You're absolutely right. I've got good relationships now with a few people I've fought with in the past. Yes, a good fight can be as intimate as anything.

Anna - Thank you. You are more than welcome to email me. You know you need not fear my response. If you do choose to email, I trust you'll include the "why's"? If you'd rather not, I completely understand. Have fun with yours!

Melai - Wow. You picked a wierd day to make your first visit here. hehehe. I'm very glad you took time to do the survey, especially based on such a brief view of my site. I hope you come back and we get to know each other better.

Jen - Studied? I suppose there's a lot you can mine from this data, but I don't know what it would be...

Cynical?  You?  Haha.  Obviously they haven't met me.  Compared to me, you're soooooo idealistic.  I'd NEVER have given you cynical!!!
